When to call GP?

I've just had two positive (yay!) pregnancy tests after two miscarriages and I should be 4+3 today. I read that you should contact your doctor as soon as possible for them to give you information etc. But is this necessary? I already take the vitamins and don't eat/drink anything unsuitable.

I'm just scared of going and getting a scan date and then another miscarriage...

Thanks! :)

you need to contact them so they can refer you to the midwife team. You won't necessarily need to see a doctor, I didn't. The receptionist just asked for my LMP and then said I would be contacted by the midwife team when I was around 10 weeks for booking in.

I just contacted my GP receptionist and asked for a midwife booking in appointment. I was 6 weeks and the appointment was made for 8 weeks. It's different in every area so best to call an ask the receptionist for advice.

Do contact the GP, you don't have to go in to see them if you think you're clued up enough, but you do need to get the ball rolling on a referral to a midwife. Your GP might do this for you or give you the contacts to ring your local team yourself.
Congratulations.

I found out really early 8 then waited til 8 weeks to ring. MC was at 7 weeks previously so I just felt I needed to get passed that stage. I know how you feel! x
