Im 29+6 and in the last 2 days i have had an increase in movement so much so that i feel sick when she moves and have to stop what im doing. I have never felt this and between the heartburn and just feeling really uncompfy i have lost my appetite!

I had something light to eat and straight after was sick a little...i went to lay down but even that made me feel worse as my tummy felt so heavy and all she kept doing was throwing herself around.

Right now i can actually see the outline of her and as lovely as it seems god itis painful!! Should i be worried? What can i do:( help please xxx

Is this your first baby? I distinctly remember feeling sick the same way you've described with dd1..

I wouldn't worry, have you tried gently massaging your bump in a downward motion to calm her down a bit? She will be receptive to your touch and it might slow her down. I find DH's touch always stops my babies in their tracks. So if the kicking is getting more irritating I just make DH rub my belly for a bit and it calms the baby down too. Perhaps ask your DH/partner to give a little rub?

Chelsealady · 20/10/2013 22:28

Yes first baby...last if every pregnancy is as bad as this one and i havent even experienced labor yet!! I would ask my partner to but he is scared of bump every time she kicks he freaks out saying i cant beleive shes in there....sigh

Oh Chelsea you're not alone, my little one's constant wriggling plus Braxton Hicks have left me with a very acidy and unsettled stomach this past week.
I've found a slow waddle out to the garden has helped calm baby and eating very plain foods when it's at its worst. Hth.

BatPenguin · 20/10/2013 22:36

I'm 23 weeks and feel the same, glad it's not just me! He kicks me when I'm trying to eat my dinner and I hate it, makes me want to heave. It's really uncomfortable and I still find it weird when he's moving Sad I feel bad for saying that but pregnancy really doesn't suit me I still have morning sickness and can't wait for February.
Can't offer much advice sorry, but I find moving stops him so I stand up if I'm sitting etc

TwickyWoo · 20/10/2013 22:41

I don't have any gems if wisdom I'm afraid just wanted to let you know I've been a but the same the last couple if weeks (31+2 now) so you're not alone.

Baby has been moving around a LOT and combined with a drastically shrunken stomach capacity and pretty consistent and strong BH I have had days when I've felt sick and a little fed up. I love knowing the baby is good and moving so much but at times it can be a bit overwhelming!

First baby here too and haven't got anything to compare it with but I'm guessing that as with all other 'stages' and symptoms this one wont last forever and will at some point morph into something else :)

Chelsealady · 20/10/2013 22:47

I do hope your right twickywoo and that it will past. Heartburn has got so hard that as soon as i lay down it comes and does not go...sleepless nights aswell and its actually put me off pregnancy and i also feel like i dont suite pregnancy BatPenguin :( :(

Urgh sounds horrid for you. You are prob doing this but I'd get loads of pillows at bedtime so that you are propped up rather than lying down flat, to stop the acid coming back up so easily. Re the movement I second Fakebook's suggestion of massaging your baby to calm her, talk/sing to her while doing it in a nice soft voice, she will be able to feel and hear you at this stage and it might help. Have you got any bump oil? Or even just cooking oil (sunflower, olive etc) is fine. Hope you have a better sleep tonight.

Chelsealady · 21/10/2013 15:09

Thanks for all your support feeling better toda:)

Yep, same here. 29 weeks. The baby's movement is so violent sometimes that it hurts, and it's often making me feel sick.

The reduced stomach capacity is a right bummer. I love food and it's making me sad I can't eat much of it!

MrsAVB · 21/10/2013 16:30

Ohh... I am in this club too. And 29+5. It seems to have been so much worse the last couple of days. Concentrating at work is hard, but thankfully I have the office to myself today so I can at least burp to my hearts content. Rennies and milk (soya for me) seem to help in the moment but don't last very long. Might be off to the doctor for something stronger!

TwickyWoo · 21/10/2013 16:51

Lol - so with you on the stomach capacity thing TobyLerone... I'm not enjoying my considerably smaller portions either :(

Chelsealady · 21/10/2013 17:11

mrsAVB rennies are my life saver but as you say does not last long! I got a little sleep last night finally nodded off even though it felt like i had a fire in my throat!! Had to wake up as was at my boyfriends and his mum had a fit in her sleep due to her diabetes and once she came around i couldnt get back to sleep...typical!

29+4 and I sympathise. Our DD has ramped up the moving. My problem is she has taken to go crazy at about 3am.

SlinkyB · 21/10/2013 18:03

Hello, 27 weeks here and also suffering the same problems. 2nd pregnancy, and wasn't like this first time round, remember wondering why my baby didn't move much (he was undiagnosed breech in the end, explained a lot).

Gaviscon is my hero for the heartburn and acid - I've been getting massive bottles free on prescription.

Hope the pain and discomfort eases soon for us all.

Chelsealady · 21/10/2013 22:13

I get less movement if i sleep on my left side with my hand on my stomach it must sooth her. Try it it may work for others :)

Heart burn can contribute massively to sickness and you can take better stuff than the liquid

SlinkyB · 22/10/2013 01:57

Like what sock?

MrsDexter · 22/10/2013 07:35

sorry guys but I'm 34 weeks and the movement has got worse as you feel it more as the baby gets bigger. All my mates liked the feeling but for me it feels queasy :(

IneedAsockamnesty · 22/10/2013 09:12

I can't remember the names of them off the top of my head but your gp can prescribe several different types capsules or tablets that don't just sooth but stop the acid in its tracks (Im Not explaining this very well) off the top of my head there are 3 different ones I've been given all much much better and longer lasting than the liquid and ones you have to chew.

Fakebook · 22/10/2013 11:54

You can try something like ranatadine which is available from any supermarket or boots. It's kept with all the other indigestion tablets. I take it whenever I feel a fireball starting up and it stops the heartburn. No need to get the expensive stuff IMO. Tesco indigestion chewy tablets are the best for me and I find them better than the gaviscon ones.

Chelsealady · 22/10/2013 15:25

The gaviscon makes me sick!!
