Anyone else?

I'm 28+5 and for the last week or so, my arms have been horribly achy and restless, especially in the evenings.

I don't really know how to describe it. It's like I've been lifting really heavy weights and they feel weak and like I can't lift them. They ache really faintly and they feel like I just can't keep them still. Changing position on the sofa/in bed doesn't seem to make any difference. It's the weirdest, most horrible feeling.

I'm guessing it's just 'one of those things' and there's nothing much I can do. So I'm just moaning/hoping for someone to answer with a miracle cure.

Poor you, I've not had this in my arms but my legs are like it all day. Are you staying nice and warm? I've found that a warm bath, using a heated wheat pack and getting DH to rub lotion on them helps a bit. I think there's also some advice about magnesium helping restless muscles, so eating some spinach, pumpkin seeds, mackrel, bananas or dark chocolate might help.

Thank you :) And I'm sorry you're getting it in your legs.

From what google tells me, it's sort of an extension of Restless Leg Syndrome, which lots of people have all the time. How do they not chop their own legs off?!

I've been mainlining spinach lately in the hope of not being anaemic when I have my bloods taken next week. Although google also tells me that this may be a symptom of low iron, so perhaps it's not working.

I love mackerel, bananas and dark chocolate, so stocking up on them can't hurt!

People have this all the time!? Ok, we'll I'm going to stop whining about it quite as much now.
Good luck with your bloods, if they come back saying low iron ask to talk to a dietician before they get you to take too many iron tablets, as those things can really bung you up.

:o

Thanks again. I've been anaemic in both of my previous pregnancies so I'm not holding out much hope, but I'm doing my best to avoid it.
