Another morning sickness question!

Hi all.

I've had pretty standard all day nausea since 6 weeks. I started occasionally vomiting last week (around 10+3) and now at 11+5 i'm vomiting several times every day. I'm not nauseous all day, there are highs (when i'm sick) and lows (when I feel fine). All is fine with the baby, heard a heartbeat yesterday with midwife.

I thought morning sickness and vomiting were meant to get progressively better as time went on (but maybe i'm wrong). I'm very surprised that it's getting worse. Is this normal or has anyone else experienced that same thing? Fed up!

Thank you in advance xx

Morning lady, sorry to hear you're suffering. I found that started to feel gradually better from wk 14, and by 16 weeks I was back to normal. I remember complaining so much about my nausea (and it really really was miserable!) but honestly, this may be hard to believe right now, but I've totally forgotten all of that misery now! (I hope the labour will be the same Wink

Just hold on Smile it gets better! X

I feel for you. My morning sickness is getting progressively worse too. Worse than previous 2 pregnancy's by miles. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. I want to go and see if I can get an anti sickness med from the dr as it's all day long. I weighed myself this morn and I've not gained a pound since pre prego. It does get better just hopefully soon!!

I'm afraid I'm not going to make you feel any better but my 'morning' sickness (seriously want to punch whoever decided to call it that) didn't start until 10 weeks and continued until 22. I was lucky in that it wasn't every day I had it but god I felt awful when I did. Even now at 26 weeks I will get the odd day where it's worse than ever, though luckily it tends to be once every few weeks rather than once every few days. It will hopefully ease up eventually, everyone's different so don't take the magical 12 weeks that you read about everywhere as gospel but if its so bad that you can't do anything or keep anything down speak to your doctor or midwife.

I won't make you feel better either - I'm 31 weeks and have bad nausea every day - apparently that is highly unusual though and my GP and midwife both said it 'normally' goes at 16weeks tops (lucky me!). I find eating little and often and distracting myself by keeping busy is pretty much the only solution! Sorry!
