I am 18 weeks and have felt baby quite a lot for weeks, but last day ow two really I've had nothing really, I think I have had a tickle but no proper movements. I know it is early but should I worry? or is it at an early stage and will get quiet days??

You shouldn't worry - I'm now 20 weeks and had the exact same thing. Actually, it keeps happening. It's worrying when you've got used to a certain level of movement and then it tails off! But at this stage they're still little and can hide pretty well.

I posted about this just the other day. Im 18 weeks also and had been feeling bubs since 14 weeksish, then suddenly nothing at all for 4/5 days, and i mean not even a tickle. Then out the blue it started kicking away again, but felt higher up so im guessing it moved about and hid for a bit. I also have anterior placenta which can cushion movement.
Its hard not to worry but it should be fine :-)

I keep telling myself it is early and I shouldn't worry but it's impossible and I am going away for 4 days today so don't want to spoil it worrying but no time to visit a MW. I'll just hope a change of scenary will make it start again.

I had this for about 2 weeks at 17/18 weeks. Had been getting lots of butterflies/tickles then nothing. Got increasingly concerned but on holiday abroad. Eventually DD kicked DH in the jaw when he had his ear to my belly talking to her. I'm now snuggling my 10wo after yet another feeding.
BUT
If you're worried call your midwife or day unit. They'd far rather hear from you and be able to reassure you if it's all ok than you don't contact them and there is a problem. I'm sure it'll be fine but do call if you're still worried Thanks

Good luck and congrats Thanks

You definitely get quiet days at that stage. It depends on the position of the baby. Have you tried lying very quietly on your back for a while?

Same thing happened to me! Was worried as my twins are generally really active. Noticed movement when I wasnt bloated, so may be that?

Laying on my back as brettgirl says may work too- helps for me!

All the best :p

Have you tried the ice cold water thing? It might help??
