Vomiting blood

So sorry for the graphic post but I am concerned that at 34 weeks I constantly feel nauseous and am sick quite frequently! I didn't have particularly bad morning sickness at the beginning but my body seems to be making up for this in the latter stages! I haven't slept properly in weeks and tonight I have vomitted blood! I know I will not sleep again tonight and have work to go to in the early morn so I am worried about what this new development means - any ideas?

Instead Instead of going to work go to the Dr's. If you have been sick a great deal you may have a small tear in your throat which is causing the bleeding or it could be something else. Either way its not right and really needs to get checked out. Hyperemesis sometimes takes a break in the 2nd trimester only to come back with a vengeance towards the end, if it was undiagnosed before this could be what has happened. Please go and see your gp. Good luck x

You must ring your midwife and either see her, your GP, or the Maternity Day Assessment staff first thing tomorrow.
Your employer cannot legally do anything if you need time off for pregnancy related illnesses so please don't worry about that.
I hope you're ok, but do see someone!

Hi
I have been sick pretty much constantly throughout my pregnancy and started vomiting blood about 5/6 weeks ago im currently 38 weeks.
Like pp said you will have a small tear somewhere whats more important is why you keep being sick do you feeel nauseous? Or is it heartburn? I was on medication for sickness from 8 till 17 weeks it helped so much and im now on something to reduce the acid that my stomach is making im still eating a limited diet but im able to eat and keep it down which is so much better.
Go to the doctors and dont be fobbed off there are lots of things that are safe in pregnancy that will help.

Get it checked out.

Thank you so much for the early morning replies; I am seeing my midwife this afternoon and will try and book a Doc's appointment as well. I just feel wretched and guilty about potentially taking time off work but I do need reassurance. Will head into work this morning and see how it goes. Thanks again.
