I am about 6 wks pregnant. I have 2 children, one with special needs, and I am not sure I want a third. Part of me wants to have another baby but I find pregnancy really hard and I already feel like hell - sick, dizzy, headaches, exhaustion etc. I just dont know if I can cope with my 2 children when I feel like this.

Dh is being very supportive and says the decision is mine. I know he really wants this baby. He works away alot so I am virtually a single parent in the week and it is hard enough looking after 2 (my sn child is very high maintenance). I worry about coping wiht another.

If I delay making a decision, it will be harder to make. I am so scared I'll regret whichever path I choose.

Please give me some advice.

I have read and reread everyones messages many times. thank you.

I rang the BPAS and they offered me an appointment on Tuesday to have a consulation and termination . I backed out and decided I do want this baby very much. I hate being pregnant and am glad I will never be again but I really really want this baby.

Dh, ever supportive, has suggested we get a cleaner/mothers help type of person to come in several times a week plus Im going to start online grocery shopping. Those small moves will make life alot easier. We will cope, it'll be hard but after much soul searchuing I know I have made the right decision for me.

UCM, how are you feeling?

cantsaywhoiamyet, how about you?

I hope you are both ok.

That's wonderful news. I'm really happy for you that you have some peace now about the decision you made and you sound so much happier and optimistic.

Keep coming back and telling us how you get on. Sounds like your dh is a man in a million too.

reallydontknow - - so pleased for you.

I finally made myself test and got a +ve, as expected. Was very worried and not at all happy at first, kept going through all the difficulties in my mind. But then I put my worries away for the weekend and started to realise that I am really looking forward to this baby. It was 'only' all the worries obscuring that. And now I know, even though it might be very difficult, we'll manage somehow.

I am really pleased that you have made the decision and that you felt that you had a choice, because by your choosing you have made the right decision for yourself.

TBH, I am just resigned to it at the moment. But there isn't the joy that there was with my first pg. I do have moments in days where I think it's not too late, I can still terminate.
