Oh we are all so close! Mustard I'm having a boy too!! Smile But ours is number 2! Cannot wait, home births? I wish I was brave enough ladies, I had a terrible time with my first delivery I couldn't not do hospital again Sad midwife in 2 weeks, will this be when I do birthing plan with her? How often do you see MW after 37weeks? I cannot for the life of me remember, is it weekly or fortnightly?

Anyone else suffering anaemia? Mines is pretty terrible atm Sad

WentOnABearHunt · 02/10/2013 13:06

Greengiant... every two weeks. you should be seen at 38 weeks and then 40, and 41. Although as your are on second baby they might see you at 38 weeks then 41 if your still pregnant.

I have been sleeping so poorly, spent most of the morning asleep on the sofa after the school run (this is baby number three). I have to nip into town this afternoon but its raining and I just want to stay put on the sofa! So glad it its october as I can say I will be having a baby this month! :)

mustardtomango · 02/10/2013 13:09

I'm so glad I'm now the only one for whom nipping into town seems like a deal... Smile

AnythingNotEverything · 02/10/2013 13:16

I'm due two weeks today. I'm so tired! I'm doing lots of TV watching, bouncing on my ball ... I'm going to gloss the banisters this afternoon I think, unless my arm is too sore after my flu jab.

I'm hoping to get into town to buy a nursing bra tomorrow. Hopefully the waddle will evict baby!

I've found I've got more and more tired each day since I finished work at 36 weeks. Take it easy ladies!

HorryIsUpduffed · 02/10/2013 13:42

I'm being seen briefly every week from 34w but that's under the home birth team so probably slightly different.

I'm pretty sure that for my first pregnancy I was seen weekly from 36w, and for DS2 it was fortnightly.

HumphreyCobbler · 02/10/2013 13:47

I am having my baby on Friday and have terrible spd. So far today I have

brushed dd's hair whilst lying in my bed
eaten some toast
waved dc off on the bus from our front gate - how lucky is that?
had various discussions on here
slept on the sofa whilst listening to radio 4
avoided the builders (because you always get the builders in when you are about to have a baby, it is the rules according to DH Hmm).

and DH is about to take me to the supermarket so I can buy a toothbrush and vast amounts of childish crisps like Monster Munch for me to eat.

User3433399 · 02/10/2013 15:26

Ha ha Horry I was having a similar thought! (expecting DC2 end of Oct) I still have a few days of work and once I finish I'm just planning to nap at every possible opportunity in between an endless list of chores and medical appointments!

The idea of being bored never occurred, I'm more worried about the baby arriving early, before I've had the chance to SLEEP! Grin

pegster · 02/10/2013 15:39

Got ELCS booked for 29th & finished work last week.
DS is still going to CM Tuesday & Thursday so yesterday I had my hair cut & coloured, tomorrow I'm having a pedicure & next week I'm having a pregnancy massage.
Also on my list is pack my hospital bag, bag up some stuff to eBay, batch cook a few meals for the freezer & get the boiler serviced Smile

Lj8893 · 02/10/2013 15:59

I'm due 27th oct with my first. My general day consists of waking up about 8am, having breakfast, climbing back into bed and reading, watching tv, chatting on here etc.

Dp goes off to work at 11.30 and I go back to sleep! Wake up about 2, do some gentle housework and then chill out for the rest of the day. (And eat lots)

Dp comes home at 9, we have dinner, watch a film and back to bed I go!

And then obviously I have the odd day here and there where I go out and see the supermarket world!

WentOnABearHunt · 02/10/2013 19:11

I just wish you could 'bank' sleep up in the last few weeks. that would e cool :)

GreenGiant3 · 02/10/2013 19:21

WentOn- now that would be AMAZING Grin if only...

TruJay · 02/10/2013 20:10

I'm due November 2nd too, sooo uncomfortable! I have so much to do tho, hadn't bought a thing until this week Confused

I got my kick up the bum to get a move on and get sorted when my mum had several boxes of nappies delivered to my house and my best friend brought me a ready packed hospital bag and newborn outfits, bless them both, they said I was driving them insane lol

My little boy has just started pre-school so I have my mornings to potter around which is good.

One thing I would like is to get my hair done before baby arrives!

Good luck everyone!

GreenGiant3 · 03/10/2013 00:29

TruJay- you really hadn't bought a thing ConfusedGrin god your so relaxed, DP and I started about 4 weeks ago and I find that stressful, Grin your mother and friend sound lovely, wish someone would do my hosp bag up for me Sad

my little one is in pre school too, it's fantastic having the mornings to yourself isn't it?! I'm just dreading getting used to the morning run with newborn and pre schooler once DP is back to work (after paternity leave) it will be a whole new regime Confused but I'm sure I will get the swing of it Smile

Congrats and good luck! Thanks

WentOnABearHunt · 03/10/2013 09:19

thats one thing i am dreading... the school run, in the rain, with two children and a hungry baby! argh! I am trying hard not to think about it though :) total denial!!

I have been using the family car while i have been off... dropping my DH at work in the morning and then picking him up at home time. He is now in a flap that i am going to go into labour during the day and he is not going to get home in time (he works a 5 min drive from home, so i am sure he could get home pretty damn quick if needed!) I think he has an unrealistic expectation of how quick my labour is going to be hahahha!!

honey86 · 03/10/2013 11:36

u think preschools good? wait til they go full time in reception. dd has just started reception so all 3 of mine are full time. its bliss! i get so much done n on the days i dont have plans im free to stay in bed all day.
im well making the most of it! Grin

TruJay · 04/10/2013 20:21

Oh it wasn't due to being relaxed, we lost our last baby so I just didn't want to start buying things but I feel happy and comfortable to do so now. My MMC has really tainted pregnancy for me but I am getting so excited now, today I picked up baby's crib and myself, hubby and son have just built it together, it is too cute, just need our bundle to arrive to fill it now!

Oh gosh me too, I got drenched dropping him off this morning, can't imagine dragging my little newborn along, if this weather is here to stay our babies are sure gonna wish they'd stayed inside lol

Having the free mornings is fab, I felt a bit like I'd lost a limb not having him around all the time at first but then I went out shopping and actually got to look at things haha it was amazing, I browsed my bum off, its fab!

honey86 · 04/10/2013 22:37

haha brill aint it Smile for me it was being able to do what i wanted without shouting/ running after escapees/ saying 'dont touch that' over n over like a stuck record. and eating chocolate without having to give most of it to nagging children. and watching something other than peppa pig or power rangers lol Grin

i can handle rain its snow and ice i cant stand pushing a buggy through. 3 years ago i was doing that in deep snow with a double stroller- mission Shock

TruJay · 04/10/2013 23:18

Ha kids eh who'd have em!

Well I have 4 more weeks of freedom so I'm making the most of it! I think going to some small village boutiques I never get to visit due to far too many breakable things in reach is in order! Can't really afford anything in them but hey its nice to look lol

Due 13th november and just started mat leave.
i have got an online photography course which i plan to plough through. So hopefully can take lovely pictures of the little one.
Also plan on batch cooking, reading a few books, swimming a couple of times a week, antenatal yoga class, aquanatal and lots of meet ups with friends as well a Nct people.
Bit if trash tv that dh won't allow on when he is in. Current guilty pleasure is millionaire matchmaker.
Hoping the nesting instinct will kick in as really not inclined to declutter/ clean out cupboards. Really need to make some room for baby parephenalia in the kitchen somewhere.

BummyMummy77 · 04/10/2013 23:48

Bored bored bored @ 35 weeks.

Today I gardened, slept, washed baby clothes (again), slept, cleaned house (did yesterday), slept.

Tomorrow I'm going to get a massage, some nursing bras, grocery shopping (only if they have a mobility cart lol) and baby gifts as two friends have just given birth.

Then I'll come and sleep. For a week.

I've also set up the co sleeper, 2 bassinets and cot three times then unmade them all again.

Why baby needs four places to sleep I'm yet to figure out. I need to either have this baby pronto or get a job before I go batshit crazy.

GreenGiant3 · 05/10/2013 00:43

Oh god all fun and games isn't it ladies? GrinSmile

School run in rain with newborn will be tough but I am dreading the snow a bit more!! Don't know how I'm going to manage it, it lasts bloody months here HmmSad

Just packed babies hospital bag! I'm feeling like I have forgotten something though Hmm can't figure out what, which will no doubt lead to me unpacking and re-packing a million times... Any thing I might forget?? Packed half of my bag too, off shopping tomorrow so will be popping in to primark and grab some birthing nighties, not expensive so won't have any issues throwing away afterwards,

I have 30 days till due date, god it's so close yet so bloody far!!

Hope everyone's keeping well! Thanks Not long now Smile

BummyMummy77 · 05/10/2013 00:47

God I miss Primark. :(

Where are you that the snow lasts months?

We had 5 foot of snow that didn't melt for FIVE MONTHS last year. Blurgh.
