When did you start buying baby things

Hi I'm 12 weeks next week and then a week on Tuesday I have my first scan.

Every body keeps asking me if I have bought any thing yet. And if I'm honest I'm a little scared to untill the scan. But even after first scan do you think its a bit to early to buy for baby.

When did you start buying?

We didn't buy anything until after the 20 week scan. We have been given loads of stuff though from various friends and relatives so not had to buy as much as we feared.

At 29 weeks we still don't have everything and guess we probably won't even when LO is here!

Got a cot at 16 weeks as it was on sale and too good a price not to get it there and then and a pram and car seat at 24 weeks. Neither arriving until a few weeks before Christmas when I'll be about 32 weeks though. That said,between now and bumps arrival in January we plan to get the remaining essentials a bit at a time every month when we get paid.
