Just a quick question..

Can deep penetration cause misscarrige, bleeding or pain?

OP posts:
phantomhairpuller · 25/09/2013 18:13

No.

phantomhairpuller · 25/09/2013 18:15

Just read OP properly Blush

No to miscarriage.

Possible to discomfort depending on how deep you're talking

Unfortunately I had a dramatic bleed after sex at about 9 wks, very traumatic and rushed off to A&E. Fortunately all was well. I was told 'increased vascularity' was the cause and I was taking clexane at the time (blood thinner hence reduced clotting) which made things worse.

If you are bleeding do contact your midwife. Seeing all was well on the scan was very emotional.

SamanthaWx · 25/09/2013 18:26

Okay thanks for that!

Another question..
Bit personal but; when I wipe after doing #1 the tissue is quite a weird colour yellow.. Anyone know what that is?

(I must be so annoying haha)

SamanthaWx · 25/09/2013 20:15

I'm taking 'mum to be' pills which contains folic acid and vitamin D..

I'm the same as you at the moment I'm really early on though so I just got a bit worried for some reason x

I bled after sex at about 16 weeks and it freaked us both out.

It stopped after a short time, and I went to the EPU the next day to find that everything was fine. Apparently, having been on the pill for ages before getting pregnant can leave your cervix about sensitive and the sex clearly just irritated it to bleed a little. I can't remember what the nurse actually called it - but essentially, it was fine and not a problem.

Midwifeandmum · 25/09/2013 21:27

The cervix is very sensitive during pregnancy and very vascular which makes it more prone to bleeding when irritated.

I was try more gentle sex andif ur bleeding occurs heavy - go get it checked

You're safe to have sex don't worry unless there is a medical reason you shouldn't be. Yellow wee is pretty normal. x

SamanthaWx · 25/09/2013 22:14

Thank you x x

Last time we DTD I felt like my innards were falling out my fanjo the next day, so yes to discomfort! Blush Confused
Pregnancy hormones can make the skin of your cervix thinner and more easily damaged, sex can cause bleeding. It should be quite harmless though.
My wee has definitely been darker, but then I am not drinking enough.

SamanthaWx · 25/09/2013 22:23

Oh wow!Blush
I'm finding it hard to eat and drink, I'm just put of everything x

No in general, sometimes some cells can break off your cervix so you get a brown-nish or pinkish tinge when wiping that could account for funny colours when wiping. Yellow is normal for urine. Fresh red bleeding should be checked out.

I have been banned from sex and I am 22 weeks pregnant with dc3, but I have placenta praevia (placenta lying over cervix internally) and this can cause bleeding. That and a weak cervix where you have stitch put in are reasons to avoid penetrative sex.

I had sex up to full term with my other two pregnancies without a problem, so try not to worry and have sex if you feel like it. Once baby comes it will become harder to find time, so make the most of it while you can.

Thank you for your reply, very reassuring! Thanks
