Hi all,

Sorry if this is going to be a long post. I am currently abroad in Denmark, and I am 5 weeks pregnant.
Last week I went to the doc because they needed a urine sample and I just called and the reception was useless, she said the sample was weak but didnt explain if I needed to do more.
I hardly have any pregnancy symptons, only a bit of sore breasts, being a it tired and a bit nauaeau and dizzy sometimes.
I dont know why, but I am constantly worried something is wrong, is that normal?
In some way I dont feel pregnant, I have some cramps coming and going in my right side of the lower part of my belly.

Hpe anybody can make me feel a bit reassured that everything is fine and going to be fine.
I am constatntely worried I will have a mc or pregnant outside the place but have no bleeding or any pain in my stomach....

Please help.....

Thanks

Hang on in there.... Its early days yet so try and take it easy. If you've had a good positive pregnancy test that's all you need for now plus to take folic acid. Care in the UK doesn't kick off until 8 weeks at the earliest so no need to worry.

The odd cramp are normal as your uterus starts to change. Any bleeding get checked out but otherwise just hang on until your first scan - do you know when that will be?

Its normal to feel worried, but your lack of symptoms is very normal too! Just do a search on here - its a very common thing to worry about. Quite normal not to 'feel' pregnant as well, don't worry you will definitely feel it when you're 9 months and huge Grin

So no blood Means no worringing?

If you get a lot of pain then get checked out but stretchy and crampy pain was what I had and I'm 30 weeks now.

With early pregnancy there are no guarantees (even bleeding doesn't necessarily mean that the pregnancy is over), and nothing the medical peeps can do if something does happen... but equally there is no reason to think everything wont be fine!

Get yourself over to the antenatal club thread for when you are due (Google due date calculator if you haven't already). There you will find lots of ladies at the same stage as you and you can look after each other.

You're incredibly likely to be fine :)
The poster above is right in that you mostly have to ride it out on your own until you're logged in the system (barring emergencies, of course), which can be incredibly scary. Try to stay away from google.

Crampy feelings are super normal in the first weeks. In fact, I felt slightly paranoid when they finally disappeared!

Care in some parts of mainland Europe kicks off at 6 wks. So if you post on 'Living Overseas' (and depending on how long you are abroad for etc) I'm sure there would be a Mmsnetter in Denmark (esp if you are in Copenhagen) who could point you towards a good doc or ob/gyn services for reassurance/advice. Good luck!

I am home Again in Scotland on Saturday, so better just ride it off and stop worrining all the time... I think its because I am such a overthinker, I overanalyse everything, which is not helping me, but your comments have made me less worried so thanks....
