Is anyone up? Reduced movements @39 weeks what to do...

Hello,

I'm 39+1 with my first and yesterday lunchtime the bump went really hard and has stayed hard since with a bit of an ache, like the feeling of bloating. DH can hear the baby's heartbeat but he isn't moving much.

We are in Spain and my Spanish is crap so I don't know who to call/how the system works. Should I drive over to the hospital now and see if anyone will help me or wait until morning and call the midwife during the doctors opening hours?

Nothing else has happened so I'm just washing my bedding and trying to get some rest, but massively excited so can't sleep! I have the mildest of mild period pains. I hope it won't be a drawn out one!

Still no contractions 15 hours after waters going but theyve found meconium so im on the oxytocin drip now!!!

Oh yay!!

My DD did the same thing the day my waters broke. First reduced movement and stiff tummy, then my waters went at around 3am but had to be induced after 48 hours of very painful but apparently only minor contractions.

My son was born 24 hours after the waters went. He is lovely!!! He is called Albert and weighed 7,11. Grin
