Just wondered whether my mums pregnancy experiences would be passed onto me? My nan,mum and myself all were born with heart murmurs resulting in operations. Will my DD have one too? (im 30weeks pg).

Also my mum, myself, and my brother were all 2weeks early. Does this mean mine could be too?

and she had pre-eclampsia with both of her pregnancies. And both of hers resulted in her hemmoraging. (My spelling is terrible).

She also said that she produced very very little breast milk and was unable to breast feed.

Im sorry if these are silly questions, have all these questions running round my mind and want some answers lol x

I don't know for sure, but my mum and I both suffered with morning sickness til 20 weeks in both/all pregnancies, and were both diagnosed with hypothyroidism soon after birth of baby number 1. On the other hand, she had very fast labours and went in labour at 40 weeks ish with all of hers, whereas with dc1 I had to be induced. She also says she didn't make enough milk, but I think that was more to do with fashion of feeding a newborn every 4 hours as its a supply and demand thing. So, in short... Maybe!!!

My consultant asked me if my mum had any history of pre-eclampsia as he said if she did it increased my risk of getting it.
Some heart problems can be genetic.
My mum had both me and my sister early but I am now at 39 weeks with no sign of baby.

I'm sure pre-eclampsia is genetic, but my mother didn't have it and I did so not inevitable

I can't help with most of your questions, but I agree with PP about the breast milk thing. Supply is different in each pregnancy so can't see how it could be linked across the generations. Very very few people genuinely can't produce enough milk.

I guess we're all given symptoms like a roll of a dice lol x

My pregnancy has been totally different to my mum's. She had me at 39 weeks and bro at 38 weeks. I'm currently a week over due. I seem to be taking after mil. She had 3 boys all late. I'm having a boy, he's late. I also had hardly any sickness just really tired like mil, my mum puked the whole way through pregnancy.

You may well inherit similarities from either side

However, nobody in my family that I know about has had any trouble giving birth. I've failed to dilate at 42 weeks twice and ended up with emcs both times.

You are your own person and a random combination of all sorts of shit. Take it as it comes

I had pre-eclampsia with all 3 of my pregnancies and my mum didn't.
Some heart defects are definitely more likely to be inherited - my DS2 has a heart problem and we had extra cardiac scans for DD as a result.
