Does anyone else feel like an 80 year old when they get up at night to go to the loo? I don't feel like this during the day but everything seems to seize up when I'm sleeping. I presume this is normal?? Oh the joys of pregnancy Wink

I used to be like that when I was pregnant. I'd be walking to the bathroom doubled over because I was too stiff to stand up straight. Also first thing in the morning. It'd take me a good half an hour to loosen up

Yep totally normal I think! I get aches every night in my shoulders & hips, which means I have to turn over from my left side to my right quite often in the night. Daytime is fine though!

haha yes totally i stumble holding my bump groaning. guess it must be normal!

Same here...my maternity pillow helps while in bed but I still end up staggering stiffly to the bathroom everytime I wake up

My lower back feels stiff in the morning, once I'm up it only takes a few minutes to loosen up again but I can hardly put any weight on it until it does. Usually sleep on my side but its much worse if I happen to wake up on my back.

Yep, exactly the same. Am 40+2 so hoping not too much longer now!

Lj8893 · 22/09/2013 15:36

Yep been like it since about 15 weeks!!

Xenadog · 22/09/2013 15:37

I have this anyway due to a dodgy back injury plus teeth grinding which means my neck and shoulders kill anyway! However today I have felt particularly bad. At 27+6 I am struggling to move out of a chair, out of bed and just move around. I find doing some stretching exercises helps as does walking but I know that as bump gets bigger my lower back will play up even more as the strain on back muscles will grow worse.

No advice just lots of sympathy.

Snap - 30 weeks and suffering with aching hips/back each night.

Plus baby thinks it's good fun to poke a nerve at the top of my right leg so I get random shooting pains!

10 weeks to go (or nax of 12 if I go overdue) x
