Flying in 8 hours (give or take) at 29+3 and panicking. Reassurance?

Currently in Russia flying home to UK at 9.30am (roughly). Got a note signed off by my consultant and one signed from the MW here in Russia.

Currently laid in bed having Braxton Hicks. I've had them on and off for the past week but tonight they seem quite strong and starting to panic in case they're not and I'll be stuck on a plane or layover in labor with two infants.

My brother is a MW in training and I don't want to wake him up if it's nothing and they go away.

Just want some hand holding I guess and maybe some reassurance that'll pass. Maybe I'm overacting...

Backstory - PG with twins. Complicated PG. Twin1 has severe IGUR and has problems with fluid levels. Had a Iron IV before travelling but for past 4 weeks I've had no problems.

I'd call your brother to reassure yourself, I'm sure he won't mind. I'm sure the flight will be fine try not to worry. Are you flying on your own?

Make sure you've had enough water. BH always used to kick off with me when I was a bit dehydrated, I also had an irritable uterus because of water levels.

Definitely call your brother, do anything you can to put your mind at rest as the stress won't help. Thanks

Think about the flight as just another set of 8 hours during which your pg will continue as normal and you won't be going into labour, just like all the other sets of 8 hrs that you've had so far. I've had days of lots of BH from quite early on, dehydration is definitely a factor as is stress, but your brother should be able to reassure you that BH on their own are not a worrying sign. Wish you all the best - I know flights are scary.

Thanks ladies. My brother was in the next room (I was visiting him and his DP.) I woke him up and he monitored me until I left. I was fine, he agreed that panicking wasn't helping. Finally managed to settle and had a pleasant flight with just a few strong BH.

The tips worked. Thanks :)
