That's it really. Is there anything I can do/take to alleviate it? I'm 17 weeks, and fed up with it already.

I can only empathise - I had it through all my pregnancies. I never found anything that helped much, although sleeping with a pillow between my legs helped a bit.

If it is any consolation, in all 3 cases it stopped practically the second I gave birth.

God yes I've got this too. And really bad since last Thursday (31 weeks now).

Apparently swimming and pregnancy yoga help. I also find sleeping with a pillow between my legs helps. And sitting on a birthing ball so the weight shifts a bit.

You can always make an appointment with your GP to get a referral for physio/osteopath which should help too.

I did find that if one side hurts, lying on my other side helps as there's less pressure on the hurting side.

I'm only 8 weeks at the minute but had it during last pregnancy where u would cry on the sofa it was that bad! I used to put a heated wheat pack at wherever the pain started that seemed to help and a pregnancy pillow at night x

If it is that painful now I would get a physio referral, everywhere does this differently, MW, self referral or GP, but if GP, makes sure they write how pregnant you are in big letters so it goes to the right place.

Try a serola belt (from amazon) - a fab support and way better than the huge ones they give you on nhs physio! And if you are near Manchester then I pm me and I can highly recommend a physio who has made my pregnant life bearable.

You have my sympathies!! I'm 30 weeks now and it's getting quite painful to walk around Sad

I second trying to get a physio referral - I saw one at about the stage you're at the tips and exercises have helped.

I also found pillow between my knees helped a bit plus warm baths and not getting up too quickly, keeping knees together to avoid stretching too much.

Hope it improves for you soon x

Physio! I had what I (and my mw) thought was sciatic pain from 8 weeksish. Saw a physio and he told me that I had a pelvic upslip which he pulled back into place and I've been (almost) pain free since and I'm 29+3 :)
