i have been using it for past couple of months and threw away the box etc

but i have just found out it is not safe to use in pg

am shitting it

obvs i will stop using it immediately, i am 7+4, what if i have caused some kind of damage

Well, I think it's not classified as safe in pregnancy because nobody's done clinical tests on pregnant women. That doesn't necessarily mean its unsafe or dangerous, it just means that nobody has proven it is safe, so pregnant women are advised not to use it to be on the safe side.

It's the same position as for hayfever pills, and some body creams etc - they can't know for definite whether it's safe so they cover themselves by warming you not to use it,

I would raise it at your midwife appointment (and take an ingredients list, available online) to ask for some reassurance, but I wouldn't worry about it in the meantime.

I would say your baby will be fine as the placenta doesn't really kick in til 10 or 11 weeks. Or at least that's what a doctor told me when I was panicking with DC1 because I had gotten through the best part of a bottle of Sambuca the night before I found out I was expecting him.

Exactly what Vatta said. It's (not surprisingly) very, very difficult to actually test anything on pregnant woman. So that's why relatively few things are 'safe'. Companies are just covering their backs.
