Are you actually sick or feeling sick? And how many weeks are you?

Try and keep your liquids up even if you can't eat. I've been there and its horrible Sad

Sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I experienced this and it affected all aspects of my life and it is very debilitating. The Doctor prescribed Avomine tablets which are Promethazine Teoclate. They helped a bit but i was still being sick, just less times per day. There are lots of different medications that the Doctor can prescribe. I bought the sickness travel band things (you can get them in Boots) and they seemed to help so they might be worth a try.

Now that i'm 16 weeks i'm rarely sick but the pain of those four or so weeks or constant sickness is still very fresh in my mind! I hope the Doctor or the travel bands help x

Are you eating? I went entirely off food early in this pregnancy, and was constantly nauseous. Figured out that if I ate (even though I didn't want to) it really eases the sickness. Salt & vinegar crisps are ace, most people suggest bland carbs although they didn't work for me. A banana before I got out of bed was very helpful!

I have been up until now but literally everything smells like dog food!!! I can't even think about food without my stomach turning.
I'm not as 'regular' as I was pre pregnancy so I thought I'd get a laxative- any suggestion?

I know you don't want to eat but you really must, low blood sugar is a major cause of nausea and it will be a downward spiral. I've been there, I've had weeks when almost anything I put in my mouth came back up, so I know how completely horrible it is. See the doctor - I thought my sickness was 'normal' and left it too late and ended up in hospital.

Are you managing to drink at all? You don't want to get dehydrated, so if you are struggling with this then do go to your doctor, I've tried a huge amount of different drugs to quell the nausea, and seem to have finally found a good solution. So keep trying, you don't have to suffer,

Hi Op I am so sorry to hear this. It's awful. I have been suffering from HG and food aversion from about six weeks right through till about 19/20weeks. Now 23+1 and only just staring feeling normal. I lost a stone in weight. It's awful but you will get through it. You can get medication from the doctor but I choose not to take it. The only advice I can give because I really didn't find much hat helped ease it is make sure you try and keep drinking fluids. Call your MW or GP if you can't eat or drink. Hope you feel better soon.

How comes you didn't take prescribed meds?
I'm not really managing to drink no, I really don't know what to do with myself tbh. Seeing my gp later on so hopefully she will have good advice

I tried initially a couple of times but the meds made me feel really sleepy felt like having a sleeping tablet But personally my main reason was I just didn't want to take meds mainly because of the baby. I didn't want to take any chances (previous mc). I lived on water and bread sticks for a few weeks and was also in hospital a couple of times on a drip. It's hard been so ill but everyone finds different ways of coping. Have you seen the HG support thread on here?

You need to speak to your GP if you are not taking any liquids in.
