I'm sure I am...

Had bfp last Friday and calculated I am 6 weeks (so now nearly 7).

For first week after no AF all tests were negative, it wasn't till second week I felt 'different' and did one to get the bfp.

I'm petrified something is/ is going to go wrong.

I've had mild cramps on and off for last 2ish weeks (I originally thought AF was on her way), on 2 occasions I've turned suddenly (one when turning in bed and once when reaching to get something) and had a searing stabbing pain on one side - literally lasted less than a second but very painful. And I don't have any morning sickness. Im normally quite a sickly person so this is odd to me.

Am I worrying over nothing?

So sorry if this is me going ott, but this is my first time and as you can probably tell I worry a lot! Think I just need advice from anyone who's been there and done that!

Many thanks for any advice x

Congratulations! Please don't worry.

I had exactly the same crampy pains and the sharp pain while turning. It's something to do with ligaments softening or stretching or something. It disappeared after about wk 7 ish.

I have also not had morning sickness but you might find you get waves of nausea as you go along.

Have you had sore boobs or tiredness? They're good ones to look out for! Smile

WillowsCatMummy · 05/09/2013 11:32

Sore boobs and tiredness definitely! Don't think I've made it to 10pm any night this week without falling asleep and boobs seem to be getting more tender by the day! Il cling onto those symptoms then Wink

Think I may have read too many websites about different symptoms and mc's and starting to get myself at it. So desperate to make it to 12 weeks safely... Hmm

Congratulations!

100% normal to have those stabby pains. They worried me too in the early weeks but now at nearly 35 weeks I know its just part of it. I used to get them really bad if I seemed and turned over in bed. Had one the other night too.

Would only worry if its a constant stabby pain :-)

PrincessKitKat · 05/09/2013 12:09

It is tough Willows, there's so much information about what can go wrong and sad MC stories. I hid a baby book that a friend gave me in the pouffe Confused it was a bit much.

I'm about 9 weeks and clinging to an evidenced fact (off a thread here) that if you get to 12 weeks without bleeding you're baby is very, very likely to be present and correct Smile

Willow I'm exactly the same as you! I'm slightly behind at 6 weeks but have had bouts of off cramping and if I get up too quick or roll over in bed every now and again I get a sharp pain. I've read up a lot and it seems normal but it's so terrifying! I have had quite a lot of sickness to though so I think it helps to make it more real!

We have a scan booked at 7 weeks and I think that will put my mind at ease abit! Good luck :)

Lj8893 · 05/09/2013 14:15

I've had cramping off and on throughout my whole pregnancy and I'm now 32 weeks so its completely normal.

I also didn't have any sickness but did suffer from nausea off and on, normally when I needed to eat.

Congratulations!

Thankyou so much everyone, you've definitely made me feel a bit better x
