Please?

Going to phone GP tomorrow for reassurance mostly, I am pretty sure it is hormonal rather than anything else as DH/DS are fine and I feel mostly ok and no sickness/cramping. However there's no way I can go to work (secondary teacher- would be running out mid lesson all the time). I've had it 4-5 days now.

I'm about 5 1/2 weeks- how much more?!? Pregnancy no. 7 (several losses) but never had this symptom before!

until well 14, still having it occasionally, week 18...

RosesInTheRain · 04/09/2013 22:38

hmm, hope it eases off a bit then so I can leave the house... if it was more predictable it would be betterConfused

I did manage to leave the house occasionally. But had to work from home most of the time as I couldn't do the commute.

It does get better! I only have one day a week (or so) of it now. Last time was at the midwife appointment, couldn't get out there quick enough!

9 months! Sorry Sad

EeyoreIsh · 04/09/2013 22:41

I hope yours gets better soon, and sorry for your losses Flowers

I've had it with each pregnancy (one DS, 1 MC, currently 14 weeks with dc2). DS and this time its improved around week 12, but still occasionally throughout the pregnancy. MC it stopped around week 10, MMC diagnosed at 12 week scan, so for me its a reassurance!

Have read that its basically like morning sickness but the opposite end Grin so improves around the end of the first trimester for most people.

Mine was icky until about 8 weeks, then got miles better! Good luck!

RosesInTheRain · 05/09/2013 09:51

thanks all!

rockchick very much get the reassurance thing, had 4mc, sorry about yours Flowers Hmm, opposite end morning sickness Grin. Not sure whether it is preferable to morning sickness though, at least I managed to get to work with that!

have just spoken to my GP who says take an occasional dose of immodium, max once a day to slow things down- he looked up the drug in the British Medical thingy to check. Also reassured me that I should still be absorbing folic acid- a biggie for me as I had to terminate a pregnancy last year for a fatal neural tube defect.

Fingers crossed things improve- desperate to get to work, may sound odd but it's the start of term and I want to get my classes going rather than having to set them crappy cover work!

I never had this with my first pregnancy, but I'm really suffering now and I'm only 7 weeks.

Writerwannabe83 · 05/09/2013 10:11

I'm 10wks+3 days and woke up with it for the first time this morning.... Sad

Thankfully I'm off work this week but I'm really hoping it doesn't continue. Hopefully it will just be a one day thing! crosses fingers Smile

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 05/09/2013 13:45

I'm getting it but so far only evening/nighttime when nausea is worst. I wake up with it through the night. Last time I got vomiting as well - I'd rather have it at this end only! Also secondary teacher and so hoping it doesn't start happening in the daytime as well.
