Where can I buy pregnancy suitable/baby suitable massage and essential oils?

I would like to buy some camomile and lavender essential oil and some fractionated coconut oil as the carrier oil for massage - for a pregnant friend that she can also use for baby when it arrives.

I need it quite soon, so can't get it online, unless it can be delivered by friday.

Do you know where I can buy it in RL, or a good site online that does quick delivery? Thank you!

Neals Yard do lovely oils (their mother's massage oil is so good we still use it) and they will probably have a decent basic carrier oil too I would have thought.

oh, do they do Neals Yard stuff in Boots? I shall go look at the website, thank you!

Wow it's pricey! There is nothing really in Boots by Neals Yard. On their own website it's quite pricey for what I want, namely the Roman Chamomile! And they can't deliver on time, so that's out.

Marks and Spencer do a product called Pure baby massage oil which is infused with chamomile and rosehip. Will that actually have enough chamomile to do anything?

The reason I wanted the chamomile and lavender is that it is a good combination for calming, thought it would be good for bedtime for baby, and if the mum doesn't want to use it on baby directly, she could do her feet or something and the aroma will be around.

How about if I go to Holland & Barratts and by Rosehip, Chamomile, Lavender and a simple carrier oil? Do the fancy companies like Neals Yard provide anything other than a nice blue bottle, anything that I can't get by buying it directly.

DH said get it all made up already as it saves faffing, but, well my friend quite enjoys a little faff...

Well if Holland and Barratts do it, then just buy from there.

I think separate carrier oil and essential oil is a good idea, when I had my DC we were told not to use any essential oils on them for 6 weeks so for the early colicy days plain base oil (or just sweet almond oil from the chemist's) was good.

As its a gift this may not be appropriate but I did a baby massage course with ds and they recommended sainsburys organic sunflower oil, think sainsburys as was most local supermarket, imagine other supermarkets just as good!

recar I have bought some grapeseed oil, but useful to know about the sunflower oil as I only bought a little bottle. I couldn't get the roman camomile so just bought some lavender and a mixing bottle and will order some camomile online for later on. I also bought a Book - Mother and Baby Aromatherapy Massage - it gives info, technique, and a list of what carriers and essential oils are good to use, and when. It is for pregnancy, labour and for baby so fits all my criteria!

jamais yes that's what I thought about the oil, just the simple oil to start with.
