I'm 9wks+4 and for the last 2 days have had this dull ache deep in the left side of my groin.

I've had a few episodes of aches and just generally weird sensations that last a few days and then go again, but have been reassured this is normal and it just due to the uterus stretching etc.

I'm just not sure if I should be worried that I'm still getting them?
Or do they last all the way through pregnancy?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry not to be able to reassure you, but I am 21 + 5 today, and get niggles daily Grin

They worry me every time wish I were still allowed gin. I'm pretty sure I'm going to worry until the day I give birth. And then the worry about the baby begins Grin!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope all goes swimmingly for you.

I found stretching pains did go away sometime in the second trimester, but was replaced by kicks in my pelvis, hip pain, lower back pain. Ah the joys of pregnancy!

I'm 34 weeks in to my 2nd pregnancy, had no pains with the 1st but this time I've had stretching, stabbing, cramping, shooting and period like pains. I have asked midwives about them all as they worried me and every time they said it's completely normal and will probably get worse. Hope this helps. x

14 weeks here, and still frequently getting period type pains.

28 weeks here & still get period-type pains - you'll know if its feeling wrong so try not to worry - easier said than done I know!

So it is quite common and prolonged then?

Last night I had a hot water bottle on my stomach which did help ease it but sometimes I have to take some paracetamol, especially if I'm trying to get some sleep.

mine were more common and stronger at the 10 week point than they are now. Don't suffer in silence though - you can always pick up the phone to your nearest antenatal clinic and they should be able to talk you through any worries - they are genuinely glad to help
