Dry mouth

I've had a dry mouth for nearly two weeks now. Obviously, I was worried about diabetes so mentioned to my midwife at my 28 weeks appointment. She wasn't worried but took regular 28 week bloods anyway last Tuesday. In the meantime she suggested I see the GP in case I had thrush. GP gave me a prescription for thrush but after 6 days my mouth is still really dry. GP also said that if there was a problem with my blood they'd get in touch quickly. I'm wondering how quickly people were contacted if there was a problem with their bloods and secondly, if this is a normal pregnancy symptom I'm just going to have to deal with? I'd rather put up with a dry mouth for the next 10 weeks than diabetes!

I think it is a normal pregnancy sympton - you know you drool a lot more in pregnancy? I seem to remember it being related to that.

No problem in getting the doctors to check all is well though :)

Thanks. Definitely not GD so just a really annoying symptom. Trying mouthwash and turning into one of those pregnant women who craves ice and ice lollies!

I always have a bottle of water in my bag because I'm always thirsty. Same in both pregnancies. x
