I've got really bad sickness not morning sickness but wakes me up at 4 in the morning sickness and goes to bed feeling sick too. This morning i woke my self up by borking. At work I've had to run to bath room a couple of times it's unbearbu. I could cry I feel exhausted and my stomach is pulled from borking so much. On top of this my head is pounding so bad. I feel frustrated I'm taking advice of little and often but the thought of putting food in me is making me want to throw up :( :( :( I've got a 10 hr shift tomorrow I don't no how I'm going to get through it :'(

You have my sympathy, it's not a nice time being that sick. I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to eat. I was generally only sick once a day, but felt sick all day. On a couple of occasions I would be sick non stop all day and had to call in sick in those days.

I don't really have any advice as I never found anything that made it better for me. Although ginger biscuits and peppermint tea were recommended.

With regards to eating I would say eat what you fancy no matter how random, and if you can't keep any food down or eat anything speak to your Dr or midwife.

Don't go to work tomorrow, you're ill and need to take it easy until the sickness settles down. If this is your first then hunker down in bed or on the sofa and just eat whatever wets your appetite.

If you are constantly sick you'll end up dehydrated and ill. Your GP will be able to prescribe something if you can't keep water or enough food down.

Severe 'morning' sickness is grim. I had it 5yrs ago and it still brings back awful memories.

Yes, see your doctor, there are things that can help.

I think at this stage you should call in sick for a couple of days, rest and work out if there are any patterns/tricks that work for you.

I found I couldn't think about food, DH would plonk something in front of me without discussion, and I'd eat it if I could. Couldn't cook (even if I'd wanted to!).

It's horrible. Hope it passes for you soon.

that feeling is normal too!

Jacobs cream crackers were good for me and ginger beer. I used to keep them next to the bed and would have a cracker before I lifted my head from the pillow. I can remember sitting up in bed at about three in the morning retching, it was hideous but worth it have two beautiful children now dd10 and ds7 and ttc no3!

Purplefrogshoe · 26/08/2013 19:33

Fizzy water or ginger beer helped me with the nausea but i think you really should take a few days off, rest and sleep really helped me. take care

TeaAndANatter · 26/08/2013 19:58

Pineapple chunks. Does nothing for the nausea, but it makes the sick taste noticeably better on the way back up. And cornflakes, well chewed on eating, makes for a 'smoother' puke. Really sorry for gross info, but it helped me with DS1.

Hope you feel better soon. x

Hi! Go to doc in the morning. With DS I was off work until 16 weeks because I was SO sick. This time round it's the bloody same but since I am a SAHM I have had to get help in. It's a night are trying to keep hydrated, never mind eat anything.

I sip lemonade and also chew ice cubes as water isn't pallatable. I also nibble on crackers and marmite. Ginger does sweet FA. Hope you can get some rest. Tiredness makes it worse.
