I know that dying your hair isn't recommended in early pregnancy but what about eyelash tinting??

I usually have mine done every 6 weeks and my Beautician has rang asking if I want an appointment this weekend and I wasn't sure what to say.

Does anyone else do it?

I had mine bleached highlights every 6 weeks its supposed to be ok long as you have a patch test as your body reacts dif in pregnancy however im choosing to wait untill im 12 weeks x

I've dyed my hair and tinted my lashes since 12 weeks but didn't do either before. X

I'd say fine but have a patch test before each time (even though thats a pain!) your hormones at different stages can make you react differently and you really don't want to be messing with things like that round your eyes!!

It is supposed to be to do with chemicals from the dye entering your blood stream. I am a hairdresser and we get asked about hair dye in pregnancy all the time. It's manufacturers advice not to before the 12 weeks mark however there has never been any testing done to prove it has any negative effects on the baby, it is purely precaution so we always say its at the mothers discression. xXx

My Beautician has told me that eyelash tint is really mild and is fine to use during pregnancy.

I'm still not sure though Hmm

I did mine at about 36 weeks (so I didn't have to worry about mascara after the birth!) and it was fine. The only real concern would be increased sensitivity to the dye so you could ask for a patch test beforehand?
