Hi ladies,
I just found out that I am pregnant five days ago, It was planned but happened in the second month so I'm feeling a bit like its 100 miles an hour! I am excited but also REALLY scared!
I literally feel sick from the moment I open my eyes until I go to sleep at night, yesterday I was sick after every meal and had three long naps just to stop the room spinning, I feel awful like I'm complaining and I shouldn't be because I really am lucky but its hard to be cheerful when even the thought of milk makes my stomach churn!
Also I already look pregnant... I'm usually a size 10-12 but my stomach litterally looks like I'm 3 months gone, from my last period I am only 4-5 weeks, does anyone else feel like this?
I've got a drs appointment on Thursday to confirm everything, but any advise would be great!
Thanks and congrats to all you lovely ladies!

Congratulations! Re looking pregnant, at this stage its just bloating coz your digestive system slows down so you end up bloated. I'm 10 weeks now and the bloating has gone, second pregnancy so I'm starting to show a little bit now but if its your first you won't show until after 12 weeks. Doesn't make it any less uncomfortable though :)

Try adjusting your diet to see what food you can keep down - I can't manage proper meals and meat makes me hurl, but soup is going down very well for me, as are jacket potatoes. Different people find different things to help them. Try to eat something before you get out of bed - rice cakes or cream crackers tend to be good. It can make your morning sickness worse if you try to move with an empty stomach!!

If the sickness is constant you can go to the dr and ask them to prescribe anti-sickness meds but most people find ways to manage it. If you can't keep water down go to the dr, as this can be hyperemesis and can be dangerous.

Once you work out your due date there's threads in antenatal clubs for each month's due date - its fab having a group of people all due the same time as you to compare symptoms and offer support :)

Thanks rockchick, it's all just so daunting! I'm feeling much better today though and managed to keep down some pasta last night!
I think once I've been to the doctors I will feel better about things, but I'm loving learning all of this new information!
Will be great to have other people to compare with, thanks for the advise and best of luck to you!
