How tired were you at 30 weeks?

Just wondering how you were all feeling (or are now feeling) at 30 weeks pregnant! We booked a holiday before I found out I was pregnant, and I'll be 30 weeks whilst I'm there. From scouring the other forums, a lot of the women were saying how tired they were - some were saying hire a wheelchair! I don't remember it being that bad with DD and it was a straightforward pregnancy and I've been really lucky with this one so far as I'm 13 weeks and had no morning sickness, tiredness etc - so really just carrying on as before!

So how were you feeling at 6 months pregnant? Should I be thinking about cancelling my holiday? Sad

I think its very hard to say for other people. im 32 weeks now and feel great, still working full time with lots of energetic kids and keeping up just fine!

I'll be 30 weeks on Monday, and even though I can't get a decent nights sleep due to being uncomfortable I feel ok. I'm not as energised as I was in my 2nd trimester, but by the time bedtime arrives I'm fully ready to sleep!

p.s at 30 weeks you're actually mid way through 7 months pregnant Wink

I felt good from about 20 weeks to about 34 weeks. But I think I might have been very lucky.

Am now 36 and pretty tired.

What type of holiday is it? You'll need a letter to be allowed to fly and you probably won't be able to do tons of walking/sightseeing and I wouldn't have enjoyed a hot country at that point (was bad enough here three weeks ago!)

I'm 30 weeks, and could do a holiday as long as there were lots of opportunities for sitting down!

On my antenatal thread of other women who are all 28-32 weeks, some are struggling with SPD, some are up 5-6 times in the night to wee ... Some a still working full time on their feet all day. Really varied!

I wouldn't suggest you did the inca trail, but I know I'd be fine on a beach or by a pool. High temperatures wouldn't be much fun though.

YY to PP's note about flying.

Thanks for your replies. I didn't want to say what kind of holiday it was in case it swayed the replies ... but it's Disneyland Grin

We're not flying, we're going via the Eurostar, and it's during the winter so no worries about the heat Grin I can do exactly the same rides I did with DD last time - she's only 4 and not a thrillseeker, so we'll be on the gentle rides that pregnant women are allowed on too Smile There's a lot of walking around, but I was planning on taking it slowly - we have 5 days there, so no need to rush around and we're staying onsite so no travelling back and forth.

I still can't decide though, we have to get a buggy, a sling, a breastpump and a car seat and I can't remember realistically how much it costs to get for a new baby - I remember spending waaaay too much the first time round though Grin

I went on holiday at 28 weeks - my tiredness well and truly kicked in at about 32 weeks. I was so grateful that I went on mat leave at 37 weeks (this is my first week of it). I think everyone is different - a holiday could be exactly what you need - just make sure that you take it really easy xx

I'm 31. Not sleeping much at night so am very tired mid afternoon. But am working full time like a dog which doesn't help.

Aside from that feel good, bet your holiday will be lovely!

bingeddybongo · 09/08/2013 07:33

I totally agree it's an individual thing and it's probably really hard to guess how you'll feel. I've not had an ounce of energy since I got my BFP - there's no way I'd have managed to haul myself around Disneyland 3 weeks ago (I'm 33 weeks now), I have to have a nap every day to get me through till bedtime. I did go on holidays at about 23 weeks but it was mostly lying on beaches, I don't think I could have coped with any serious action even then!! I reckon you can totally plan for becoming exhausted though, going by train will be brilliant and as long as you can plan stops for napping or can spend an afternoon in bed if need be whilst you're there then go for it - I agree with Queazy - just take it really easy Grin

HeffalumpTheFlump · 09/08/2013 09:48

The tiredness kicked in for me at 29 weeks, big time. I personally wouldn't be able to do a Disney trip, but as pp have said, everyone is different.

badguider · 09/08/2013 09:55

I think the queueing will be tough - I would pay for any kind of timed slots of queue jumping that is avaialable... queueing would kill me at 30 weeks.
