Induction. More or less straightforward after previous spontaneous labours?

This is my 7th baby, although 6th pregnancy to go past 12 weeks. Unless I go into labour first, I'll be induced.

Most of the consultants I have seen seem to think it will be easier to put me into labour due to my previous births, especially as all except the first one have been before 38 weeks, with 3 of them being between 37 and 38 weeks. However, one of the consultants I see insists previous births make it more difficult to put a woman into labour. This conflicts with everything else I have been told tbh.

Does anyone who has been induced with second or subsequent children mind sharing their experience of how fast induction was or does anyone know anything about how easy induction should be with previous labours? (I know all will be different, no guarantees etc)

Not personal experience, but when I was being induced with dd there were other women being induced for 2nd/3rd babies and some of them were sufficiently dilated (from the earlier births) that they didn't need to have the pessary stage. They just went straight down to delivery for arm and syntocin. So the whole thing was quicker in that sense.

My two inductions after a spontaneous first labour were v straightforward
