Any natural/good remedies for sickness, nausea, bloating and excessive wind?

Basically the above question Smile I'd quite like to calm my gut down a bit but without meds. I'm in the very early stages of pregnancy, but don't fancy looking like violet from willy wonka by the time week 40 comes around Grin

I've been really sick and nauseous and have bad acupuncture which has really seemed to help me feel better.

Lots of rest is the most important thing for sickness really - the tireder you are the worse you feel.

Constipation - prune juice, bran flakes, activia etc. and drink lots of water. Some people recommend hot water with lemon for trapped wind too. I found early on (about 5-6 weeks) I had loads of bloating and trapped wind but it did subside.

Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy! Smile

Thanks missSmile I had my first encounter with retching this morning. Just a shame there's nothing to bring up, I think I'd feel a lot better If I could just throw up.

I'm at week 5 now so a bit of a way to go but I'm hoping the tiredness and nausea feeling goes away soon!

Mint tea was the only thing that worked for me (the Tea PIgs one is lovely, although not cheap). I had absolutely shocking wind and bloating round about 6-10 weeks, and it really helped.

i coped with nausea with warm water/tea+lemon juice and eating some crackers/toast. this worked for a certain time. salty snacks and peanuts also helped. I tried with ginger (ginger tea, candied ginger) but had no success.

before going to sleep i took fennel herbal tea which helped a lot for digestion and to avoid sickness after dinner, sometimes i added anise and cardamom to relieve bloating.

Well I went to holland and Barrett and have bought some ginger chewy sweets to help ease the nausea along with some ginger and lemon tea. The tea worked well, but I'm dreading the sweets Grin also, has anyone tried charcoal tablets for bloating? I was advised to take them once I had checked with my midwife, are they safe and do they work?!
