Hello

Any advice on how to help overcome morning sickness. I was fine when I was pregnant with my son but feel sick pretty much most of the day at the moment.

Thank you

I am nauseous all day. This is baby no.4 and certainly tiredness plays a huge part. If I have a really busy day I am more sick as in up to 13 times or so- grim I know. I have found the best thing is breakfast in bed, allowing for some digestion and rasing of blood sugar; nibbling on plain biscuits or wholemeal toast. I have used sea bands before ( but can't find them at the moment) and ginger tea helped until I went off that. It is the worst I have had and I am praying it is not twins! How many weeks are you - i am 8.5. Also the heat is making it worse. My dh is being really lovely and is not letting me do too much.

Hello - thanks for advice. Not sure how far gone I am. I have a scan on wednesday to find out. When will you be having a scan to find out whether it is one or two? The heat is making me feel really light headed and drained. Must not complain as the weather has been beautiful.

Hi

here \link{http://www.hyperemesis.org.uk/\voila} is the link for the charoty blooming awful. It was set up to help eople with severe morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum) but also has a tips page that is just brilliant for anyone.

In this weather, do especially take care to keep hydrated- that's the most important thing,if at any time you cannot keep down water see a GP.

I hope it clears up soon, but do try the things on the link

SOrry you are suffering - it's not fun at any time, but this heat makes it so much worse. I had bad sickness 2 years ago in the summer and it was grim.

Things which helped me:

Tonic water
fizzy water
mashed potato
Pasta with grated cheese (sometimes)
Wine gums
Having a carrier bag in my pocket just in case
Sea bands
Sleep
A fan (electric and hand held, senorita style!)

Hope it gets better soon. Take care

My morning sickness was really bad, im 26 weeks pregnant and lucky it stopped after bout 3 months. i didnt really try anything just ate dried toast and those dry crisp breads. you should find out if your expecting one or two during your first scan! i was really worried i was having twins but im just having the one!

the only thing that worked for me was complex carbohydrates, like oatcakes, whole wheat pasta etc. did not feel like eating them at all, but once i had felt better.

hang in there, its grim but you'll have forgotten it this time next year...

and sleep loads if you can. Just sleep.
