Hello all,

I am 34+2 and moved house last weekend from London to Hampshire. I've got an appointment to register with the MW in my new town.

It would be good to hear experiences of changing hospital. What happens with notes? Will they want to redo any scans? Slightly complicated by the fact I was under Consultant led care due to a thyroid problem (but had been told not to see them until after the birth at old hospital). Wondering how many appointments to expect too.

I made an appointment with my new GP surgery attached midwife who then made all the other appointments for me, was very straightforward and patient held records really helped. No scans were redone but bloods were, although only because they couldn't access the previous trusts electronic systems.

Thanks MarianaTrench. Hope I don't have to have GTT again!

Ive changed hospitals at 35 weeks. Your hand held notes should have the results of GTT so shouldn't be necessary to repeat it.

I had no problems what so ever. I moved from London to Cornwall.

I've changed hospitals twice - once in this pregnancy and once in the former. Both times it was fine. My handheld notes went with me. I am consultant led care so had to get to know the doctors all over again but it was all fine and I didn't regret it.
