ok so Im 21 weeks and getting to the point where i need new bras, Ive been using bra extenders for my old ones which seemed ok up til now. But I think i need to get bigger ones, only trouble is Im big but my chest isnt (was just about a B cup before I got pregnant) Ive tried on so many bras but even a 40 seemed tight around me yet was too big on my (non-existant) boobs. Ive ordered a non-underwired lightly padded bra but gotta wait a week or so for it to be delivered. Anyone got any tips/advice on where to get comfortable yet supportive bras???

I would look in M&S, you can't beat underwear from there

I'm 29 weeks and a size 42 back, asda and m+s do reasonable priced bras for us ladies :-)

Have you moved onto nursing bras, they have a lot more hooks in the back so goa bit bigger, and fit nicer around your bump than a standard bra.

Get yourself onto the bra fitting advice boards here. Was a revelation for me. Before pregnancy I was wearing 38B's and now - at 24 weeks and measured myself properly - I'm in 32G's.

Or go to Bravissimo to get yourself measured if you don't want to do it yourself.

Hiya, I was a 34FF before pregnancy and by 29 weeks was in a 36G that was so uncomfortable and cutting into my ribs. The kind lady in M&S suggested switching to non-wired - I thought she was insane and that nothing would be able to support my huge boobs, but in desparation took her advice. Got a multi-pack and love them :)

I switched to maternity bras at 9 weeks for both my pregnancies and it made a huge huge difference. Got refitted again at 27 weeks due to more shape changes. Best money spent, made a huge huge difference. I also rate bravissimo. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies, I think first thing I need to do is get my ass into town and get properly measured so I at least know what size I am! Being rather flat chested I still want something to give me abit of shape and support but really underestimated how uncomfortable pregnancy makes things

I disagree with M&S for Bras, I don't think I'm ever the right shape for them.
I've you got a local independent, go in when they are not busy. Ours is excellent at taking all the time it takes to find the right fit.

Maternity and nursing bras do seem to be more adjustable, and generally more comfortable (for me).
