Im pregnant with my second baby, my first is 3. I had an emergancy section with her and since being pregnant if i get up to fast or move fast i get sharp cramping where my section scar is, also today it feels really bruised and tender and looks awful, is this normal??

Yes, it's normal!

I think it's just where the scar tissue (internal and external) is a bit stretched. Don't worry! Grin

It is the adhesions from the scar tissue, as your uterus stretches the scar tissue has to as well except it is not as flexible. I had this when pregnant with dd2 after my emcs.

Keep and eye on it as your pregnancy progresses, get to know your scar texture and how it feels, if you get severe sharp pain (not like cramps) go straight to hospital to be checked.

Im seeing a consultant on wednesday to see if i can have a natural birth or not this time around, will this affect the likeliness of a natural birth?

No I had a trial of labour last time (ended in another EMCS due to a rare malposition), I laboured to 10cm at home and refused continuous foetal monitoring in favour of the doppler.

All the evidence suggests favourable outcomes for VBAC (vaginally birth after c-section). 75% success rate for VBA1C.

There are some good links on this old thread. I have also posted some info on this thread.

Let me know if you would like me to send some more of the information I have researched to you, I am going over it myself at the moment as I will be going for a VBA2C in January.
