I'm 16 Wks and i have a constant need to pee. When i do go it can be uncomfortable. When i sneeze or exercise though its a worry! Query it's a UTi and I'm seeing the GP tomorrow. I'm not over weight and pretty fit with a previously ok pelvic floor. My symptoms don't seem like a UTi. Could it be the baby? Anyone else? X

I did in early pregnancy too, sneezing, coughing sometimes even laughing - figured it was just the pressure. What did the GP say?

Um, HATE to say it Fraggle but yep, it's pregnancy! No one told me about it before my first, and i KNOW i had good pelvic floors. Invest in some Tena and try not to worry. For most people, it stops after the pregnancy. I've written about a whole LOAD of symptoms that no one told me about here: mrshelicopter.blogspot.co.uk/p/things-they-dont-often-tell.html And sorry for shamelessly plugging my blog....but you might enjoy / relate? It's a light-hearted view! Grin

Yeah definitely the pregnancy. I had problems with my pelvic floor after having DC2 and saw a women's health physio. I was pretty much back to normal after my physio but had problems again as soon as I got pregnant (now 25wks). My understanding was that the problem was caused by your womb pressing on your bladder and I figured that couldn't have been happening at 6 weeks so I went back to the physio who told me that pregancy hormones make all your connective tissue relax, including your pelvic floor which leads to leaks.

It should all go back to normal once the pregnancy hormones leave your body but if not, get your health visitor to refer you to a women's health physio. In the meantime, invest in some Tena like JessHelicopter suggested.
