Had a midwife appointment yesterday and she said that babies head was 4/5th palpabale which I think means 1/5ths engaged?
I'm 38+3 and thought this was fine in regards to progress.
Just been speaking to a friend whose babies head has been engaged fully since 32 weeks and now I'm a bit concerned! She said that in first pregnanies, babies head should be engaged much sooner..
Will I definately be overdue?? I want to meet my baby :-(

I'm 36+2 and baby's head is 4/5th palpable too. I've read on lots of websites that though first babies engage sooner, when they engage actually has no impact on when you'll go into labour. And you still have 2ish weeks for baby to get lower before you're actually due. I feel your frustration, but I just keep telling myself that no-one has ever been pregnant forever! Good luck.

Thanks, that makes me feel better! I just feel like nothing is happening, and can not imagine going into labour any time soon! I think I'm just comparing my pregnancy too much to others and getting concerned if things don't match up.
Sounds about right with the engaging having no baring on labour, my friends baby has been fully engaged for 8 weeks now and she's still waddling away! Very impressed she's managed to hold him in this long!
Is yours your first? Any signs for you?
