Hi. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and when I first sore my midwife she told me I had to be referred to ss because I have depression and at the begging of the year I ha taken an other dose. But when I found out I was pregnant I went straight to the gp and they took me off of my anti-depression tablets and I am really happy Im pregnant but i have been struggling and my partner has been pushed away by me but we are still together but we had a massive argument and I hit him and the I called the police I explained exactly wht happened and I only call to get him out of the house and love me al

Leave me alone but he wouldn't so I called them just to get him out of the house so I could get some help but they still had to come and take a report and I'm really worried about what is going to happen because my midwife said form the begging that its a massive problem with my past. And I'm really scared and I can't stop thinking about what's going to happen I need someone to help me understand what's going to happen.

I don't think that anything bad will happen. Maybe you will be refered for some counselling and some extra support when you're vulnerable. To be honest, I think, it would be a good idea and will help you immensely.

To social services will be able to give you all the help you need to sort yourself out, try not to panic, good luck xx

So sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. Being referred will hopefully help all your health professionals to be aware you may need extra support during the pregnancy and it's meant to be supportive not a way of getting you into trouble or blacklisted.
Mood problems can often flare in pregnancy and as well as counselling and support, there are medications that can be used safely while pregnant or breastfeeding. So please don't suffer in silence, if your mood is getting worse or the anxiety is building up and up, please ask your GP or midwife to refer you to see a perinatal mental health specialist for further help and advice.

Sorry to hear your having such a difficult time. It is standard practice to be referred to SS when the police are called to a domestic incident. Especially when children/unborn children are involved. You should be able to get lots of support xxxxGrin

Hi shorty -
social services are hopefully there to support you

if you feel that might not be the case see if you can get an advocate (google 'advocacy services' in your local area) and ask if they can go to any meetings with you until you feel comfortable dealing with it.
