Debating popping toddler in nursery so I can't be used a climbing frame
Stocking up with Magnums

Anything I have missed?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RuckAndRoll · 03/07/2013 10:00

Magnums are reduced in Sainsburys at the moment! Think I'll be dispatching DH for more.

I have a box of single use ice packs in my desk drawer (last week in work next week before maternity leave)

I have fans on me as much as possible, lots of ice in drinks and ok I admit it I eat it as well lol! Loose cotton clothing is important :)

We had a heat wave here in Ireland a few weeks ago (for a whole week!). I seriously considered getting a kiddie paddling pool I could sit and put my feet in and the dog could lie in.

Steffanoid · 03/07/2013 10:56

I've got a can that looks like deodorant but it's an Evian water spray, it's amazing, I was overheating when there was snow on the ground!

parttimer79 · 03/07/2013 11:35

I'll be trying the paddling pool, if I can get close enough with my stumpy legs and huge bump!
Fruit pastille ice lollies - always a good idea!

cravingcake · 03/07/2013 12:08

Loose baggy comfy clothes.

If you dont want to buy anything just wear your partners cotton boxer shorts & vest or bra around the house.

A spare fan to put in the car boot so your DH can go and get it for you if the delivery room/post natal ward is like an oven.
Cheap espadrilles if your feet swell - anything like a flip flop or birkenstock was agony to wear for me as it pressed down on the most swollen part of my foot.
Check out times for local swimming pool/lido/acqua natal classes. Takes any swelling down massively. Coldish bath might help too but didn't try that.

We freeze water in milk containers and stand them in front on the fan. Or hold them.

Put a wet towel on you.

Shower fully dressed.

Don't open curtains or windows.

Heatwave? Are you in England, is there something I've missed?!
