Supportive bras without being frumpy?

I'm having problems finding nice underwear, my chest has increased to a sizeable 36E and all I've found are bras styled like my nan would wear!! Anyone have any recommendations?

Really? I'm a 34HH and still is reasonably nice bras. Not pretty necessarily, but not granny-esque either!

I find a well fitting underwire helps. (And yes, you are allowed, as long as it fits)

And don't shoot me if this is really patronising, but are you sure you're a 36 back? The bra intervention threads here resize lots of people ...

And to answer your actual question, can you get to a bravissimo? They are my lifesavers.

I am a 36G and I get mine in asda!!! They have some lovely ones and they aren't very expensive can get a set with the knickers for around £12!! Which is amazing! Trust me I've been this big since I was 19 and have paid a fortune for years and only recently found asda to be so good xx

I was measured in triumph at the weekend and that's the size they gave me, a 34 does cut in a bit.
Unfortunately they aren't many good underwear shops near me, still want to feel slightly sexy.
Will pop into Asda, thank you for the recommendation, may have to look online for the other Smile

A 36e should be easy to find in many styles. I'm normally a 38 e or f and have never had a problem buying pretty bras. Either bravissmo, Ann summers (knickerbox range is nice), and m+s.

HazleNutt · 27/06/2013 20:01

have you checked www.brastop.com ?

I got a fantastically supportive one in M&S Autograph... This one...

clicky

Ellypoo · 27/06/2013 23:02

I found some nice ones at m&s (38dd+ here)!

Thank you for all your suggestions! I'm normally a calvin Kline girl but they stop at a D!!

When I was getting a bra fitted due to increased size during pg, the lady in the shop saw my face when she brought out a supportive, frumpy looking bra for me to try on and said "love, the aim is to make sure your breasts survive pregnancy, you've got plenty of time to buy pretty bras afterwards".

I'm wearing the world's most comfortable, world's least sexy bra ever :)

I second asda for pretty bras and also try natal an. I'm normally a 38dd anyways and that's where I shop for mine as they're cheap. Expensive bras never last me long anyway And as pps have said you can get some lovely sets.

I actually just got this and love it:

www.matalan.co.uk/mobile/womens/shop-by-category/lingerie/s2519087/racer-back-bra

Comes in various colours and has matching undies too

Debenhams are also quite good but on the more pricey side so not been in there for a while.
