New bras?

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant but my boobs are already growing too large for my bras. I do have larger bras from before I lost weight but they're too large across the backs. I expect they'll do nicely when baby is actually big, but they're offering me no support right now.

so when is the right time to buy new bras? Should I just buy some cheap bras in a larger cup size for now?

Thanks!

When I was 10 weeks preg with DS2 last year, I got big in the bust area quickly so got measured then recommended (after trying on) one of these:

I was told they are good because they stretch/grow with your bust, are particularly good for nursing too and even if not bfing, are comfortable after the birth.

Congrats by the way! Smile

Thanks little I'll have a look.

It's nerve wracking being pregnant after so long trying and a miscarriage. DH and I agreed we wouldn't buy anything baby/pregnancy related until after the 12 week scan but I think I need the bras.

Just realised I need to find a strapless bra for when I'm a bridesmaid at 14 weeks. My old one is already far too small Shock

Ahh, I understand. I miscarried too so know how it feels. Try and relax and be positive. We waited until after the 16 week scan before buying baby stuff, but that was because DH was more nervous than me!

Strapless bras are a mare at the best of times. I'm sure somebody will read this and have a suggestion for you. Bravissimo springs to mind as a potential.

Good luck with your pregnancy and the bra shopping! Flowers

The last thing you want is sore boobs so I would agree it would be worth getting one or two that fit you now. Regarding a strapless one, I would wait until as near to the time as you can in case you grow more.

Had a fantastic experience with Bravissimo - again early on and after two miscarriages. They were great about fitting with advice for growth and have a really sensible return policy if they aren't comfortable. I've been to see them three times this pregnancy and they've been fantastic every time.

Sorry for your previous loss and congrats on your pregnancy!

I found M&S non wired ones quite good for early stages and not too expensive - you do have to search a bit in the store as nearly everything is underwired. Please mention your bra size just in case, as I'm about to chuck the 4 pairs out!

Thanks everyone!

my existing strapless bra is from bravissimo so may well go back for a larger one. It fitted really well.

phineyj I was a 34f (as measured by the expert mn bra ladies Grin ). I reckon I'm probably at least two cup sizes bigger now. Thanks for the offer!

absolutely nothing has changed for me on the boob front at all, and i'm 25 weeks!

so you might have some time to spare yet!

Kelly mine have grown already! I'm not very large busted so I think that's why it is more noticeable for me.
