How much should I be feeling?

I'm 22+6 with DC1 and an anterior placenta. I'm feeling occasional squirming sensations and sometimes a feeling like popcorn going off in my tummy, only for a few seconds at a time. Most days, but not always, I feel something at bedtime - I think she likes that I'm sitting still and talking to DH, so she can hear our voices, (maybe I'm being overimaginative here and it's just coincidence).

Does this sound about right? When am I likely to feel more, in your experience? The sonographer found a good strong heartbeat at 12+3 and the midwife at 16+2, and the 20-week scan was fine, so I'm not really worried as such, but would like a bit of reassurance.

I have an anterior placenta and really only feel baby around the sides/top/bottom of the bump and those weird popping sensations that you described early on. When they did my 20 week scan and subsequent dopplers the MW said they can feel the baby is very active but I really wasn't feeling much until about 28/30 weeks. Like you I feel baby much more at bedtime, and also find a cold drink gets the wriggle on.
Even at 33 weeks I have periods of relative quiet (before a small arse/head sticks out the top of my bump and freaks me out).
I got very worried once and went for monitoring, they were very reassuring and said if you get used to a pattern of movement and this changes always get it checked out but don't worry too much if you don't feel loads of movement, as long as this is consistent and normal for you and your baby.
