Can't stand to wear bras

I'm 23 weeks and have now hit a bra crisis point. I've gone so far from a 32 DD to 34 G. I can't afford any more bloody bras. I can't even stand to wear sleep type soft bras, vest tops with support etc; I took one off tonight and my poor breasts were aching :(
All I can bear to wear is simple vest tops with bugger all support. I do shoehorn myself into a bra for work but hate very minute of it. Anyone else?

I'm with you. I take them off as soon as I get home. I'm only 18 weeks so a bit worried it will just get worse.

Lj8893 · 16/06/2013 22:54

I'm exactly the same! I get home from work and the bra comes straight off, I have tried all sorts. I was a 38e and have gone up to a 40g :( so unfortunately a bra when I'm in public really is necessary!!

hartmel · 17/06/2013 04:38

Same here. I'm 28 weeks.. But I need to wear a bra when I know someone is stopping by or have a sweater around just in case an unannounced guest shows up. As my nipples are leaking like crazy already. Grin
And I hate those pads, because they get hot

PseudoBadger · 17/06/2013 06:58

Oh good! So when you are all wearing bras are they too small really or have you been keeping up with size changes?
It really surprised me that I can even stand structured tops or soft bras.

Have you tried the JML bra? Awful looking thing but I found it amazingly comfortable when I had DS :)

MyNameIsSuz · 17/06/2013 10:37

Ooh yes I love the JML bra! Now that I'm breastfeeding I still wear them to bed, so comfy.

Gingersnap88 · 17/06/2013 10:39

Me too, I lived in seam free t shirt bras and then nursing bras like the Emma Jane sleep bra or Carriewell soft bras. Amazing Smile

Although DD is now 15 months and I still don't like wearing anything tight (bras / belts / clothes). How weird is that?!

harverina · 17/06/2013 10:40

I feel the same - I am 20 weeks and surprisingly my usual bras still fit, however when I take my braid at night my boobs are so sore Hmm they feel so much better without a bra at all.

Sadly it is not an option. I am a 38 GG and my boobs hang a little low!

harverina · 17/06/2013 10:41

My bras are not too small, my boobs just so not like being pulled into position for 10 hours!

PinkApple86 · 17/06/2013 11:55

Anyone tried that pound shop sports bra? On tv they were saying its better than a m&s £15 one

PseudoBadger · 17/06/2013 12:57

That could be it harverina, they don't like being manipulated :o

Bras were the bane of my life in pregnancy, just wanted to rip the bloody things off. Then I went to bravissimo and got measured properly, with room for growth.

Smerlin · 17/06/2013 18:40

I've been measured properly at one of the places highly recommended on MN but still can't stand wearing a bra. It's not to do with being the wrong siZe for me, it's just that I can't bear to have anything tight against my rib cage- even the seams in a soft bra. As soon as I get home from work the bra gets jettisoned!

Futterby · 18/06/2013 01:08

I'm actually currently looking at me pre-pregnancy bras going "LOL remember when I fit into that?!" and I was a size 14 to start with so not tiny by any means :P
