I AM SOOOOOOO BORED OF BEING SO PREGNANT AND UNCOMFORTABLE. I am due on Monday but can't face the thought that it could be TWO MORE WEEKS of this. I am in so much pain, can barely walk anymore because of the pain/pressure in my pelvis, bump feels like it is going to split in half it is sooo full, I have constant period pains and backache, I am EXHAUSTED and I cannot cope anymoreeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Winge winge winge winge.

I have eaten half a pineapple, two hot curries, and have endured dtd with DH and still nada. have started having a bit of a 'show' but nothing else!!!

is there anything else I can do?!

Please don't eat anything that'll mess with your insides........you'll regret it when it comes to pushing the baby out lol Shock

Good luck when the time comes, my 1st 2 babies were born on due date, the 3rd was 8 days late so I know how shit you are feeling. I bet the constant "any signs" questions is driving you mad too.

frutilla · 15/06/2013 17:24

Aw, poor you. I never did manage to pop naturally, babies never engaged, but what got contractions going for me was parsley tea...not that I would recommend anything before the due date, don't want to get my knuckles rapped.

pumpkinsweetie · 15/06/2013 17:34

Raspberry Leaf tea from a health food shop, very hot curry, plenty of sex, pineapple as you mentioned, walking and fish & chipsGrin, all those worked for me, baby was born a few days after trying all the above religously!

Stepawayfromthesweeties · 15/06/2013 17:47

I could have written your post. I am now 40+4 and nothing is moving this baby. I spent the last 4 days in the foulest mood and on the verge of tears almost all the time (poor DH keeps asking when the normal me is coming back)

I have pgp too and in so much pain with my my hips & back so really need this baby out. I've tried everything mentioned above and am spending about 2 hours a day on my gym ball too, but nothing is occurring apart from period type pains, braxton hicks and my miserable face Hmm

I asked the midwife for a sweep on Weds but she she refused until I'm at least 1 week overdue. Aaaaarrrrrggghhhhhh, feel like I've been pregnant forever

picnicbasketcase · 15/06/2013 17:50

Go for a drive along a nice bumpy stony road. Worked for me when overdue.

Littlemissexpecting · 15/06/2013 18:02

I know the feeling op.
I'm 39+4 and very fed up. Had contractions tues and wed night every 6 mins, and just on and off contractions since.
Lost my mucous plug numerous times, back ache, period pains.
Tried curry, pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, dtd, nipple stimulation, walks, drive down bumpy road and still nothing more happening.

looneytune · 15/06/2013 18:03

I'm also due Monday and feel the same, soooooooooo fed up! I can totally relate to the bump thing, I've been telling everyone I feel like I'm going to split open it's all so tight! After being told I was likely to be early (they weren't sure if I was in labour at 36 weeks and I've had braxton hicks 5 minutes apart for ages loads of times now), I feel like I've been overdue for ages even though not even due yet! Ds1 was a week late and ds2 was 4 days early, I reckon I'm going to be late again! It's my dad's 60th on his due date then ds2's 5th birthday on Wednesday so really want to avoid those dates (moreso ds's bday!) but it's also dh's bday on 27th so want to avoid that too. Also got my family (spread around the country) all coming to visit the weekend of 29th so they'll not meet baby if I am that late :( Sucks doesn't it!!! Lets hope something happens for us all real soon eh!! This weekend would be good as dh started a new job 2 weeks ago and it's difficult taking time off so right now would be perfect! Wink

igirisu · 15/06/2013 18:57

I was due on weds and have tried pineapple (made myself Ill with it) sex, orgasms, a reflexology session, tonnes of walking, curry, pressure point stimulation blah blah blah.

I was booked in for a sweep on Thursday but when I got there after walking a mile and a half to the childrens centre in a thunder storm my midwife looked at me and decided there was no point in performing a sweep, she didn't even examine me just decided by looking at me! WTF!

He has been fully engaged for 3 weeks now, my hospital bag has gathered dust Sad and if I have to endure another humiliating evening of false labour I think I will cry! Calling family and then having to call them hours later to say "false alarm" is getting tiresome! I hope we all get our babies soon and manage to avoid induction if possible xxxxx

Fairylea · 15/06/2013 19:00

Just remember once the baby comes you'll be up every hour or so during the night with a screaming baby :).... that thought kept me going through the last horrible days of pregnancy and hoping the baby would stay there!

looneytune · 15/06/2013 19:09

I'm actually looking forward to being woken in the night by baby, at least I'll no longer have the pain and heartburn!! Wink I'm woken every hour for the loo anyway and it hurts every time I have to get out of bed and last night I must have had 3 or 4 lots of gaviscon in the night! I'm sure I'll be saying different once he's here and keeping me up for hours on end though! Wink

Claricestarling4 · 15/06/2013 19:19

I'm in the same boat too.

I just keep thinking about the fact that some sharks are pregnant for 42 months, and it makes me feel slightly better ( yes I have too much time on my hands to google things)....

Fairy130389 · 15/06/2013 19:20

At least when the baby is here I will have flowers and chocolates and a nice smelly snuffly bundle to get me through - totally with you looneytune with the waking in the night - I wake up every hour for a wee/roll over anyway and it hurts SOO SO MUCH just to turn over that it actually makes me yelp! Oh and ditto to the heartburn - the other night it actually made me sick it was so bad.

Don't know if you can tell but I'm exceptionally hormonal and emotional and grumpy!

Oh and Igiri - with the false labour - I have now taken it so far that I actually went to the maternity centre today as thought my waters had broken - no such luck and she said cervix wasn't even 'down' yet (whatever that means) - I had to wait until I was in the car to burst into tears!!! Secretly hoped she would say 'oh, fairy! looks like you've been having silent labour, congratulations, you are 6cm!!'

gahhhhhhhh

Luckily for this baby I love it because right now it is a very unwelcome visitor. I realise you are cosy but that is what the moses basket is for!!!

What Im going to try this time- it's a bit radical but the chemical that is important in triggering labour is oxytocin which is caused by oestrogen so this time Im going to send dd away to her gps and get lovey dovey. Apparently phytoestrogens which are the plant based version of oestrogen can be found in tomatoes, garlic and oregano so I think candle lit dinner at a quiet Italian, with chocolate pud (can also help) warm bath, massage and orgasm. I remember reading about somewhere in the states which did a labour inducing meal which just appeared to have pasta and tomatoes. They swore it worked so who knows. I tried all the physical inducing things last time like curry, bouncing ball etc. This time Im going to take it easy. Who knows it might work and if not I've had a nice rare romantic evening!Grin

MrsMargoLeadbetter · 15/06/2013 22:08

I am due on Mon too. Thought I had contractions last night, but I didn't get going.

Every morning I wake up disappointed that it hasn't kicked off.Sad

I was trying to visualise the baby in my arms earlier, hoping it would stimulate my hormones or something!!

It will happen ladies.....

jammiedonut · 16/06/2013 09:09

Aww you poor thing, at least you can see you're not alone! Unfortunately munchkin will arrive when ready, not the most helpful thing to hear I know! I'd avoid raspberry leaf tea (very strong painful contractions whereas I preferred the slooooow build up). Just try to relax, enjoy the last few days with your bump (you will miss it) and rest as much as you can before baby arrives and you're too exhausted from all the sex, walking and labouring!
Btw I'm the worst for taking my own advice, have been up since 5 cleaning, eat chilli with everything and dh has taken to wearing pyjamas and pretending to sleep in case I pester him to dtd one more time 'just in case' it works this time.

igirisu · 16/06/2013 18:10

I just went to the park to try and swing baby out and my arse didn't fit in the swing, much to the amusement of the group of teenagers watching me trying to squeeze myself onto it! Grin you know you are overdue when waking up in the middle of the night in pain is exciting as it could be the end!

Fairy130389 · 16/06/2013 20:03

Today I cried in the pub at fathers day lunch because it was too hot and I couldn't cool down. In my defense, I did ask the waitress 3 times for some water whilst fanning myself with the menu but I don't like being such a hormonal bitch diva.
