Sore belly after scan

I had my first pregnancy scan yesterday at nearly 11 weeks and today my tummy feels sore to touch and i feel uncomfortable. I can't remember experiencing this with my other pregnancies.
The sonographer did push a little hard and i'm now worried, is it normal to feel like this a day after a scan. Tia x

This is my 1st pregnancy, I felt the same after an early scan at 6wks, it felt like my tummy was bruised inside & I did start to worry, I mentioned it when i went to a follow up scan a wk later as was worried but they didnt really acknowledge if it was normal or not. I've had 4 scans since & peanut was ok.x

I think (it's so hard to remember) that I had this after my scan last time where the sonographer had to press passed my blubber

I felt like this after my first scan at 12+5, although I put it down to my extra 'padding' making it harder for the sonographer to see, but heck did it hurt Sad had another scan at 15+5 when seeing my consultant (twins Grin) and that didn't hurt at all. I just put it down to the fact that babies are hidden well to begin with that sometimes they have to push fairly hard to get good scans.

I have a sore tummy and I'm sore down there too after my scan at 11+2 yesterday. Baby was asleep and really low down so sonographer was pushing and slapping my belly and once she'd given up on that and scanned me vaginally was hurting me too. I'm a bit sore but not too worried as that was yesterday morning and everything still fine.

Probably won't go back to her again though, don't think my lardy tummy could take it!

Yep I ended up with a tender belly after my first scan and my 20 week one when baby wouldn't cooperate. The next scan baby was in the right position and they didn't need to push as hard and it wasn't painful afterwards.

I'm now a few weeks on and had no problems after either of the painful scans so I don't think it's anything to worry about :)

I think this is fairly normal tbh - I had a very sore tum the day after my 12-week scan. I had lost quite a bit of weight with sickness so was fairly slim, but I have a long waist so they had to 'dig down' quite a bit to get the right angles etc. Sonographer was mildly uncomfortable, student that followed was torture Shock

Wasn't an issue at 20 weeks as baby is above the pelvis and much easier to see!

Ive recently had 2 scans and both times they hurt, the 1st at 6+5 was the worst, thought the nurse was digging for gold! But i do carry plenty of flab blush i almost cried out stop!

Hope your next scan isnt too bad :)

I had my 20 week scan today and baby wouldn't cooperate, sonographer was digging and pushing in sooo hard! The scan took over an hour in total and we were called back into the scan room 4 times for extra looks and checks! Even after all that it still wasn't 100% successful and after my last pregnancy ending in miscarriage it wasn't the experience I was hoping for.

It's wearing off now but I have felt sore and uncomfortable all day since, I have ovarian cysts too and they poked and prodded them a lot to get measurements so I feel a bit battered! Don't think it helped that I got a man and he obviously had no understanding of how heavy handed he was being.

I'm sure it will wear off for u though, I don't think it can cause any damage! Just uncomfortable for us for a few days, hope u feel better x
