It's all a bit early - am I overreacting?

Hoping someone can tell me I'm overreacting.

I'm 30+5 weeks pregnant with DC4 3 days ago I woke up and my bump has dropped alot and now feeling very heavy, then this morning I keep getting stabbing pains in my cervix.
I had a feel up there (TMI?) And my cervix is slightly open and I could probably get a finger in it (although didn't want to try).

Problem is none of these things happened last time until about a week or so before I went into labour.

Don't want to phone midwife if this is normal so please come tell me I'm overreacting.

Anyway I can't have baby early as I have too much to do over the next 4 weeks and I am planning a homebirth so will just cross my legs until I can safely have her here.

Hi I would get it checked out to be on the safe side? If you are going to go into pre term labour they can give you steriod injections to develop the lungs which will make a huge difference. They come when they want believe me

I'd call the MW or EDU to put your mind at rest, which is what I did about 3 weeks ago in exactly the same position. She's head down and low and occasionally bounces on my cervix causing hot stabbing pains in my cervix. I'm 33+3 today.

The advice I was given was to relax unless there were regular BH at the same time as the pains and/or any bleeding. So far so good...

Slightly worrying update just been to the toilet and I have just passed some jelly mucus which I'm 99% is my plug, have rang midwife and left a message.

Poor you heart that's worrying. It might be absolutely fine though. I was advised to ring the hospital rather than the community midwife in that kind of circumstance so if you'd like a faster response you could consider that perhaps? Good luck, I'm sure all will be well.

I'd be phoning labour ward. Midwives may take a while to get back to you and I think you could do with being looked quickly.

If it nothing them it doesn't matter if it is something then the sooner the better!

Hey I'm 32wks with ds3, feeling exactly the same my bump was under my ribs last week and now its gone real low, all my lower area feels really heavy achey and bruised, got period pains on and off and in my back too. BH's have geared up and loosing jelly its either greeny/clear or has blood streaks in it, saw my midwife yest who dismissed all this and said take a paracetamol and call ward if it turns to full bleeding. No check or anything.

Id Defo ring labour suit just to be safe, it is what Il be doing once dp gets home to watch kids xx

Phoned labour ward and they are unconcerned as baby has probably just engaged herself but unless pains get really bad or there is blood I should be fine.

panic over hopefully, apprently it can happen and she could bob out again, was just panicking as this didn't happen till right at the end with other 3dc.
