The rose gliding chair by tutti bambini is on groupon today. It's down to 199 from 329. Any views on whether its worth it???

I don't know which model it is they have, but the tutti bambino chairs are £160 at Kiddicare.
I have this one and would recommend it.

In my experience gliding\ rocking chairs are rubbish for breastfeeding. The movement makes it hard to latch them on, they're too reclined and the arms get in the way of baby's legs.

Thanks both. DH thinks its a waste of money. Shiraz- what do you use instead? Just a normal chair? Should it be an arm chair? This one seems a bit bulky so I'm all confused now!
Thanks for the link to the other one. Do you find the rocking good or bad?

I love the gliding motion, and once feeding was established had no problems rocking and feeding. I found it soothing and the gentle motion was enough to keep me awake during the early days.
It is really coming into its own now DS is a bit older (10 months) for story time before bed, and comforting cuddles. The one I have is a really solid piece of furniture, I expect to be using it for many more years.
The other option is the Ikea Poang chairs, they can have a gentle rocking motion, and work as a piece of furniture in any room without screaming 'nursing chair' friends of mine have this and is also really comfortable.

Also, feeding on the sofa with a cushion for support is all you really need. But I wanted something comfortable upstairs, I felt it helped differentiate between night and day.

Generally I've sat on the sofa by day, with lots of cushions behind my back in the early days. Cross legged can also be quite comfy. Or on a dining chair with something under our feet whilst trying to shovel food in one-handed.

I have 4 DCs. Nighttime arrangements have varied from child to child. With DC1 I got up and sat on a chair to feed -sitting up in bed was uncomfortable, and lying down impossible until about 4 months. With DC2 I sat on a low chair at night for a couple of weeks before learning to feed lying down-bliss! She slept in a 3-sided bedside crib. I fed her in bed and then just shuffled her back over. Worked brilliantly until just over 3 months when she learned to roll straight back out of her cot and onto my boob! After that she was just in bed with us. With DCs 3 and 4 I tried to do the same, but neither would settle in the crib. So they just slept in bed. I can honestly say after the first fortnight with DC2, chairs at night were totally redundant with the younger 3.

I have tried feeding on the Ikea chair suggested too and found it rubbish for feeding as well!
