Hi Ladies, I just wanted to share this with you, I've been suffering possibly the worst heartburn I've ever experienced. I'm now 31 weeks, I've tried mint tea, gavisgon, chalky tablets, milk, yoghurt and so on without relief.

BUT NOW I've discovered coconut water....it's amazing, it works :) I drink a glass after every meal and when I start getting the burn and I feel so much better.

Hope this helps someone else!

I love coconut water! Unfortunately it makes me crave a piña colada... :-(

Glad you found something that works for you. I'm quite lucky ATM my heartburn has been replaced with hiccups - see how long til the hb comes back though as I'm nearly 6mnths now!

Thanks!!! I also have tried EVERYTHING and I found the only that works is a very small glass of coke (full fat). I wouldn't normally touch the stuff - but needs must!! I will search out coconut water x

Good call... I have a supply of gaviscon that I reserve purely for bedtime as I don't want to use it up too quickly so would love a daytime solution! Where can you get coconut water from? And is it as yummy as coconut milk?

Hmm, I will try and find some. I took omaprozole last time and that cured it completely but I'd like to hold off for as long as I can this time.

Rantidine helped me a bit last time round, this time round I've been over relying on Rennies which hasn't been great for my iron levels!

Small meals/snacks rather than big meals can help, avoiding any foods you know make it worse, having small drinks of water / juice throughout the day rather than trying to gulp through big bottles, and of course milk / milkshake / icecream all work their magic too!

You can get coconut water from most health food shops and I've been told tesco stocks it. Its fat free I believe and is high in potassium so will also help if you get leg cramps and vit c....what more could a girl want :)

I love coconut milk as well, I'd drink it if it wasn't so fattening Blush
