4 C Sections?

Hi

Looking for some reassurance really.

I've had 3 children all delivered by C Section. Not my choice though.

DS was delivered by C Section after a 36 hour failed labour which resulted in Fetal Distress. (2007)
DD was delivered by C Section after my Liquor Volume became too low so was taken into hospital the day after the scan to be delivered. (2010)
DD was delivered by C Section - Elective by the Doctors who said that as I'd had 2 previously I would not b e able to delivered vaginally (2012)

I also had gestational diabetes with the last 2 pregnancies which disappeared afterwards, thankfully.

I have been taking Cerazette (contraception pill) since January this year once my monthly cycle returned (I breastfed all my children to 1 year old and my periods never returned until I stopped feeding entirely). But I started bleeding on it continuously - I went to see the doctor who said to persevere, that it might be a hormone imbalance due to giving up BFeeding. I continued to bleed until 2 weeks ago, when I discovered that I was pregnant again.

We had been actively trying to prevent a pregnancy using the pill as contraceptive, so I'm at a loss as to how it has happened. I took the pill every morning at 8am. When I told the Doctor he just shrugged and said that the pill isn't 100% effective.
We're not upset that we're pregnant - it's lovely news. But I'm worried about my health. Are 4 C Sections safe?
Also I'm worried that the medication I've been taking is going to have affected the baby's development, also I haven't taken any folic acid.
My doctor thinks I'm about 3 months gone. He said he would arrange for a dating scan but that was 2 weeks ago and I've heard nothing. My 1st midwife appointment isn't for another 2 weeks either.
I own my own doppler at home and have listened to the heartbeat several times so we know that the little one is alive.

I'm so stressed, don't know what to do at all. Desperate to get a scan to at least tell me what's happening, also I'm nervous about seeing the Obstetrician when I finally get an appointment because I think they're going to be upset with me for falling pregnant again.

Help!

I had 5 c-sections between 2002-2009. Then in 2011 i had an op to remove an ovarian cyst and they did that the same as a c-section as my bmi was too high for keyhole.

My actual ops were fine, not too much scar tissue, easy recoveries, never once was i told by a doctor that it would be a problem or that i shouldn't have had so many.

However, now i have an incisional hernia. Part of the inner scar has come apart and i have a bulge. It was 'fixed' last year but i dont think it was at all successful as i still have the same bulge Confused

I've had 4 cs. First was an emcs due to fetal distress, second I had placenta accreta, third an elcs and fourth I had accreta again and it was quite a tough op, had a lot of ivs in and an arterial line, lots of people present and it was quite stressful. Recovery was ok though, the only 'bad' recovery was with my second when I was in severe pain the following day.

I think it is only after 32 wks when the lower section of the uterus stretches that you have to really watch out for any problems.
