Just found out I'm pregnant, and the thought of fourth section scares me, haven't been able to think nothing else. Has anyone had four sections, plz help...

I noticed your post earlier but never replied because I personally have only had one but hoping for a planned one with this baby. A friend of mine is having a third section this year...she is a bit nervous but is looking forward to her appointment with the consultant to discuss her worries. I can't offer advice but try not to worry because you don't want it to cast a shadow on enjoying the time through your pregnancy. Easier said than done though I know. I hope someone who has had the same experience as you will post and help you feel better.

I had my fourth 2 years ago.
I was worried sick, but the midwives were lovely and reassuring.
I was booked in at 38w 6 days, when the consultant was operating.
He took his time getting ds out - 25-30 minutes rather than 10 minutes, so he was steady and careful.
It was my easiest recovery.

The pregnancy was fairly easy, but it didn't help that loads of people (including medical type friends) would bluntly say "but you can't have more than three cs". I'd just look at my bump and point out that the baby was going to have to come out one way or another :)
None of the midwives batted an eyelid that I was having a fourth, no-one suggested it was dangerous, or any more risky than having a second or third cs.

Try not to worry too much about it, and seek reassurance from your midwife.
Good luck :)

I can't offer advice as not personally experienced this, but my SIL is pregnant with number 6 and she has had sections for them all. Here's the best bit - she's a paediatrician! So although it's perhaps not medically advised it's not impossible.

Thank you all for your replies, I feel bit better about it now, and have made appointment with doctors, fingers crossed everything will be fine.
