bfp after 5 years!! af not due til mon, terrified its a chemical and not the real deal!

Have just got my longed for bfp! Tested on a whim really as going to join a fitness class and it was positive, was just about to start ivf as well so imagine my shock!
I'm just terrified that I've tested way too early and af will show her ugly face by monday and it was just a chemical preg, someone reassure me. Going to docs this afternoon on fertility clinics advice xx

I was told same as Christelle by a specialist - he said if there is a heartbeat at 8 weeks is v unlikely to go wrong. I had a scan every few weeks because I was so nervous but being told that by an expert really helped

Omg twinkle i forgot about that!!! Thankyou dolly and congrats to u. Queen, I'm tempted to push for early scan but dp not sure, think he'd rsther wait til 12 weeks but we'll see nearer time. Doc may want to do early scan as there's a little niggling doubt that I could be further along than I thought as month before bfp I had a short light period xx

I had to cancel my first fertility clinic appointment because I was PG with DD1

When I rang up the nurse laughed and said "there's nothing like threatening the body with invasive tests" with a big grin in her voice.

Personally I just think you relax because the process is moving along.

The record still goes to DF who after well over 10 years and two IVF PGs conceived naturally as soon as she turned their little box bedroom into a study. She had to turn it back for DS1.

Had the fc phone last week and say ' we have you on the waiting list but there has been a cancelation..' so told them i didnt need the appt any more. the woman was lovely about it. i had not phoned to cancel the referal cause i was worried it was a bit early.
