Travel Insurance for 29 Weeks Pregnant

I have posted this before with few reply's. Going on holiday to Portugal on Monday for 10 nights, I'll be 29+2 when I fly & 30+5 on my return. Does anyone know of a company that will insure me for pregnancy, complications & birth whilst away?

If all else fails I will be using basic travel insurance & my EHIC card, but it would give me peace of mind knowing I was fully insured.

My annual travel insurance is with insure and go. It's not the cheapest but they cover controlled asthma as standard. I rang up to renew and they told me pregnancy was std up to 34 weeks for single birth including all complications. It's reassuring that it's there just in case

Try the post office. They insured my friend at 31 weeks to go to France

Our insurance company said that they had no specific restrictions as long as the travel is approved by a doctor. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the insurer (sorry!), but that might be something your chosen company would also accept.

All travel insurers will cover you for complications or abnormalities of pregnancy as long as you're not travelling against medical advice.
That's been the law since the gender directive in 2010. I know, I had to rewrite every single bloody one of my company's travel policies at the time
Post Office is generally a very good policy btw.

Yes agreed all travel insurers will cover you as long as you have a letter from doctor that you are fit to travel. You don't have to declare to them before going that you're pregnant

It may also be worth thinking if you have any other underlying medical conditions, to declare them at the same time, to ensure you have peace of mind protection that you are fully covered, in the event you should be unfortunate to have a medical emergency while away. I used flexi cover, I was in Greece from 28 - 30 weeks pregnant. (last October)
I couldnt use my normal travel insurance as they wouldn't cover me past 28 weeks. Also remember to get a fit to fly note from your doctor.
And have an amazing time!! Best thing I ever did before baby arrived.
